Using EUDs

Well, I keep on getting crashed by the Cat n Mouse Classic map, and it was bugging me, since it crashed me whether or not I had my map hack turned on, so I decided to OS Map it and found some pretty EUD triggers in the All Players section.

Now, I would say that these are not the same as the ones put out by Maps a while back, since this gets me no matter what setting my map hack is on, so it could be pretty smexy, maybe some of you EUD people can look into how it works.

Here's the unlocked map with the EUDs:

Using Crashing Units

While EUDs are nice, after a patch they often just don't work, or could make your map not work completely, so another option is to use crashing units to crash the map hackers.

The only issue with this method is that the latest hacks have protection from many of the old crashing methods, however, simply disabling a Mature Crysalis causes a crash still, so that can be used to protect your maps, an example map is below:

What maphack are you using? Your maphack works against the triggers Maps posted?

No, but if I had mine on full, instead of light, his wouldn't detect it, and I could also use KC Map Hack and his would also not detect that, and this method crashed both.

Using Crashing Units

A while back in UMS Assistance there was a discussion about crashing units, and I was having difficulty finding a crashing unit to get the Crash Protection on most map hacks nowadays, eventually the person I was trying to help found something, but he never told me, however, I do have a map that has a working crashing unit, I just can't seem to narrow it down to a specific trigger to set up the hack protection, here's the map:

The larvae in the top left crash the map hack, the creator does some funky disabling and enabling to them, with 2 AIs, but I can't seem to replicate it on a second map.

I would really like to use crashing units in this defence that im working on. if someone is being a total noob.. and the ban trigger doesnt work... crashing them is nice to have (some of the hacks allow you to stay in game, regardless of trigger-defeat)

I would just do a EUD desync for that one, their pretty easy and it's easy to find ones that won't likely change over patches.

Oh, btw I found that a disabled mature chrysalis will crash Zynastor's Maphack the latest version 1.06b.

I didn't check every offset, but it seems to just use text detection.

Hmm, perhaps it has a few more text detection triggers than Maps posted, since it desyncs me, whether or not I actually have the map hack on.

I'm trying to figure out a way to allow a map to detect the hacker but not desync him or crash him, but I'm not sure how to go about doing this. Anything that I can do that will identify the player accurately will be sufficient. I have the EUD Conditions all set, it's just the actions that are confusing since I don't really understand what causes the desync or crash.

It's the fact that the actions run that causes the desync, so you as long as you are trying to detect the hacker you can't make it not desync.

Yeah, the problem is that the methods of detecting him are shared, however, when you detect them, they aren't shared, since it's from the hack, so since it is not shared, his triggers returning true cause a desync.
