EUD conditions can detect HP, however, they are extremely annoying to set up (at least compared to normal triggers) and if you want it to work on just any random unit, good luck, you need to preset the EUDs for the units you want.

Relatively ancient and inactive

Technically, you can detect HP by killing it with 1 dam scarabs, detecting when it dies, and knowing the amount of total health bring it to that health again. However, this probably won't work :P.

Without EUDs, the only way to know a unit's health is to control the damage it takes. AKA vhp.

For all the years SC has been out there is still no solid method of doing vhp in conjunction with regular attacks in a high traffic area. While that circumstance might sound very specific, it is the most common one.

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless

Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value

Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort

Oh_Man -- definitely EUD
