If you can have the best compression I'll obviously be switching over. Probably some in-map endorsement if it matters.
My computer, being almost 10 years old, absolutely refuses to have anything to do with .rar files, and I'm lazy, so I'd rather not search the web...can you post tinymap in a more crappy-computer-friendly format?
Other than that, did you remove force labels to reduce melee map sizes? I don't write programs or mod, but that's the first thought that comes to mind...

Just get WinRAR or 7zip, 7zip is minimalistic, so I'd recommend it.
Ex, if you want good protection and pretty good compression, get
SMC2, it can unprotect anything except its own protection, for that it requires a password, it compresses them pretty well too, and it's protection beats all unprotectors out there.

SMC fails, quite literally. It adds unnecessary bulk to the CHK, converts all maps to Broodwar, and commits suicide when working with my "smallest map possible". It created two VCOD sections when it unprotected it.
Agreed, the compression is bogus. CMP Test Protector got my map from 302kb to 70kb. I tried every compressor/protector I know of and nothing else came close. I think Tinymap only managed to get rid of 30% of the file size.

Anyone knows how to run this under x64 Windows? I got message that the component COMDLG32.ocx is not registered. But I have the latest versions of common controls (if that is common controls)...
