This is a fantastically indepth site covering the Bible, the Koran, and the Book of Mormon. Use the Highlight section to see comparisons of excepts dealing with different subjects, such as contradictions, how women are viewed, etc. It is quite enlightening.

Due to the nature of this particular board, and the frequency of religious discussions, such a site may prove to be a good resource.

From what I've read within the threads of this board, there is a good selection of diversity in views. So, what are your opinions of this site? What do you make of such categories as Contradictions within the Bible? I do not know if there are any Mormons or Muslims on this forum, so this topic may end up primarily focused on the Bible.

Let's keep things civil and discuss. Would anyone care for some tea and biscuts? =oP

Just here for the pie

Interesting, but about 59% of SEN is atheist ( According to a poll taken a while back ) and the rest of the 41% are not atheist.

Dear lil-Inferno:
And what of the people who post in this specific board? It's a big community, and each board attracts differing demographics.

It's a moot issue anyway. All that matters to this topic is what people post here, how this thread is kept alive and interesting.

SEN being 59% Atheist really doesn't mean anything. I for one do believe in God, but I also believe creationists are loony fundamentalists and I sympathize with Atheists on various viewpoints.

Heh it's quite old. Anyway I'm still amazed at how much free time some people has to do this kind of things. It's not like "hey, I've just had a great idea, I'm gonna comment the whole bible"... it takes a whole lot of time to do that.

Maybe they felt a pressing need to comment on what they viewed as a detrimental force in society...who knows?

How so? Just because I was raised Mormon by my mother does not necessarily mean I must believe in it.

So many teens rebel against their parents' religious upbringings. But when they reach adulthood, they start to see why their parents' choices worked for them, and so many of them end up going back.

You were raised as a Mormon.
You are now denying the Mormon faith.

Holy shit! You were raised Mormon? I don't know why Mormons fall under the category of Christianity. Both have diferent beliefs and I think Mormons are weird (No offense to FaRTy if any or his mother). I recently saw that containment in Texas about little girls getting inpregnanted by Older men. The people who were even interviewed to defend this view acted really weird too.

Mormon is considered Christian because they believe in Jesus or something... I don't really know. :P It's been over 6 years since I've gone to church.
..What? O.o I have no idea what you are talking about... I've actually never witnessed or heard about any cases of these wierd rumors that people always talk about (such as polygamy, which apparently is just a small sect of mormonism.)

I saw it in the news lately. The reason why I don't consider Mormon part of Christianity is because they seem to put more effort in praising that guy John Smith (If I'm not mistaken). They also added this whole part into and changed stuff around. They believe that Jerusalem/ Jesus was born in America right?
Same goes to catholics, I don't hate them but I hate the religion because they are putting more effort in praising the virgin mary, who had nothing but a small part of the Bible and she was just the birth giver of Jesus Christ.

What? They just teach about John Smith like they do any other biblical figure. The Jerusalem/Jesus thing is total bullshit... Israel-area or whatever (I don't even know), but nowhere near America. O.o

Most of the stuff you hear about mormonism is incorrect... Also you'd have to ask someone who actually believes in it for details; all I have to go by is stuff I remember from when I was <10. :P

Jesus was in what is now Israel. And it would make perfect sense because the Roman empire was right near there too.

You've got to stop making assumptions about religions you don't know about :P I was raised Roman Catholic, and that's simply not true.

Well the virgin Mary shouldn't even really have a key figure. Educate me by catholics are different than Christians. Not to mention that some roman catholics look at the pope as some sort of god.

Mormons fail because of there 70 years of hypocrisy. Love everyone except black people. Also they were involved in a war.
Catholics fail because they do worship Mary (who wasn't virgin) as an idol and the 10 commandments state idol worship is fail.
Also, their priests are notorious for molesting and corrupting a whole bloodline of Canadian natives.

Jehovah's Witnesses (which I am so far or until I make my final decision) would of been the way to go as a true pure religion if they never made none of those 4 predictions that didn't come true (1874,1914,1925,1975). Plus claimed they (the watchtower) are a prophet (Issue 89 or '91 I believe).

Lol wut am I doing, the topic is about the website. Anyways, it's interesting. I've read some select pages that talks about mistakes and stuff in the bible.
