I disabled it. I'd fix it, but I have no idea ohw ... It took me a while to even find it and several attempts to figure out how to do what I did. :\

What's wrong with it? Last time I checked it worked fine. Or do you mean quick search (which should just point to regular search for now)?

I haven't actually seen any severe-long lasting errors since search was removed. The errors that do occur are ostensibly due to too many users connecting to SEN simultaneously and are pretty transient.

I've had 4 mysql errors tonight, but all took place during the banning spree so I assume it has more to do with that specifically.
