Well, I don't know about some of the topics.. nostalgic value of Toa making a fool of himself, perhaps
lol, yes, that must go down in history.

I think moving all the posts from Maplantis to SEN would be a waste of IP and Yoshi's time that could be better spent doing something else. Any topics worthy of being moved here could just be remade. It would save a lot of trouble and confusion, because there wouldn't be a dozen topics just appearing and bumping down the topics that are active here.

Well, you would have to redirect the data into its respective columns, unless Latova and SEN use identical post and topic tables.
I suppose that doesn't take that long, but it isn't done in five minutes, either. And you would need a way to handle that member ID's don't match up. Does Latova store the member's name in the posts entry, or are you querying the members table?
It's not impossible, just work.
The columns can be done in 5 minutes. It's just renaming them to roughly match up and convert things where necessary. Latova queries the members table at the moment but adding a member name into a table is an easy one query. You know, something like this "UPDATE topic t LEFT JOIN user u on (t.start_id=u.id) SET t.last_name=u.name" Geez. That was a lot of work.<br />

I won't be coding SEN until its stable anyway. My time right now will be spent on latova and I'll code here when I am called upon. I'll be mainly with the community and making news posts as soon as a few things are finalized.

I havent seen any maps made by all the Null spammers or anyone who currently has over 100 posts. Not even an effort in posting in productions that they are making any maps.
I had roughly 7000 posts on v4, and I still diddle with modding innovation, and occasionally mapping. Pretty much same as Merrell.

Well thats sooooooooooooo fudged up.

I don't see how it would be practical to import topics as senv5 requires a user ID for every post.

I don't think it would be a good idea at all, importing maplantis topics. Importing senv3 and senv4 topics would've been great too, but it's just not something that can be easily done or that will have good results. I think SEN needs a fresh start. This is not maplantis2 but sen afterall...
?????

Nice. SEN still remains osmap unfriendly.

Well, if Maplantis is going to e shut down, can you at least turn off the thing where we have to have like 40 posts before getting an avatar, sig, or title? That's the biggest thing a hate about SEN right now.

For Christ's sake, Mike, how many times are you gonna contradict yourself before choosing a definitive camp?
None.
Yay, Finally my loyalty to SEN pays off.
O btw. Thanks for answering my IM's IP.... /Sarcasm.

I'm not "contradicting" myself in any way, I just want to participate in the map making community while working on my latova project. If this is a problem for you, please tell me.
Oh yes, please do not call me Mike, only my friends call me Mike. You call me Yoshi.

So the people at SEN arn't ur friends mike... err.... Yoshi.
I've never met you before, pleased to meet you. No I have a lot of friends out of here.
