This fall has been pretty sweet, and now that the tv season is ending, I'm pretty sad. Lots of good and decent shows are coming to a close and winter's tv season looks weak.

So who is (was) watching what? One of the top new shows I fell in love with is Nikita. Quite simply, it has nice amounts of action, character development, and emotional play.

This anime autumn season has been decent, with shows such as Ore no Imouto, To Aru Majutsu no Index II, Bakuman and Yosuga no Sora + some Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt for teh lulz.
As for the other side of the Pacific there's been yet another season of Family Guy, The Cleveland Show and Fringe. Just wish there were new episodes each week. A week without the Griffin family just isn't the same... :(

Just Here For The Pie

In the last topic, I posted how I used to not watch all that much television. Now I do not watch any television programs at all.

If anything, I have been keeping myself entertained with sites that have web-shows like: College Humor or The Escapist Magazine, on top of Newgrounds and Youtube of course.

HOWEVER, I do have Netflix on my Xbox 360, and have used it to watch older television shows like: Code Monkeys and Invader Zim. I tried Psych and Arrested Development, but quickly became bored with them, though they were interesting at first.

My nephew has been trying to get me to watch Adventure Time with him. I sit down with him to watch a segment every once in awhile, and I can at least say that I am happy that a good cartoon show exists today for him to grow up on. The last five years have been nothing but pure crap.

Fringe'll be comin' back in January, so that's a plus. Hopefully, it'll be back to less-continuous plots now that [word] [word] home.

Why on Earth(s) would we want less-continuous plots? This season's been the best one yet. Hell, the entire arc from "Jacksonville" until now has been some of the best television I've ever seen...

I like not completely flipping out because I missed an episode. That, and it was starting to get really stale; most of the cases were less interesting and less emotional, and Fauxlivia was (deliberately) less inventive than Olivia.

Stuff like "White Tulip", that's what I'd love to see more of.

"White Tulip" is one of my favorites, so I wouldn't mind seeing more like it, but I definitely think the past 10 or so episodes have been the most emotional in the show's run. The last case, for example was really more of a side-plot to the Peter/Olivia one that had me shouting at my monitor. :omfg:

And Walternate, I'm a sucker for Walternate. I suppose it helps I've been a sucker for alternate-universe stories (guess who grew up watching Star Trek? :P)

They had a lot of emotional episodes, but... I don't know. It just seemed like it was... lacking something.

Whatever it is, that lack could be fixed now that Fauxlivia's out of the picture -- even while maintaining the same continuity.

Relatively ancient and inactive

I watched Weeds and Psych. And I continually watch simpsons reruns over and over and over again on my laptop.

Psych's a good show. I haven't found its latest episodes that amusing, but that's probably just me being depressed and not an actual problem with the show. I remember I used to find it hilarious...

Ultraviolet -- Yeah, I suppose there's something to that

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless
[2024-5-06. : 5:02 am]
Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value
[2024-5-06. : 5:01 am]
Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius
[2024-5-06. : 3:04 am]
Ultraviolet -- Vrael
Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
[2024-5-06. : 12:51 am]
Oh_Man -- definitely EUD
