I'm not even sure if I can call Ninja Mafia a mafia anymore unless I find something to do during the day. :awesome:
There would be no point in voting...
Why should i have to rely on other townies when i can just assasinate a person :awesome: ... It would be over in 2 turns

Was there a Starcraft themed mafia before? Could be a cool idea. (Based on the original campaign or a custom one.)

Yeah, it was Settlers of Mar Sara or something like that. The Infested Terrans were the Mafia, and I won that one ^^

@Norm Ah, if only my schedule was free enough right now, I'd be playing every mafia game and maybe I wouldn't be #7 on the list :ermm:

I have several pages of custom mafia roles I've thought about, including a mafia variation game type (same concept, different rules). I'll have time to type them out in November when my schedule frees up.

Win by luck, lose by skill.

Because in Ninja Mafia, everyone is a ninja. A lynch is a guaranteed kill. :awesome:

the whole point of voting is to kill someone with a vote... however if everyone is a ninja, then why vote if said persion is going to die anyway that night :awesome:
Also:
SEN Mafia

This game takes place in the SEN community... however, the past trolls that have been banned from SEN are back to exact their revenge. They have infiltrated the community and have assumed aliases. Will the community know who to trust and bring down the internal revolt? :massimo:
Rules:
The basic Mafia rules apply here with a few modifications.
Mod1: Divine Intervention via lightning will occur at some points in the game.
Mod2: If anyone is pronounced AFK by my lightning or by other players that have good reason, i will allow a dead player to take his place.
Mod3: You may change your avatar and siggy, but more clues will be presented in the following night.
Mod4: No roles will be revealed after 5 deaths... so good luck trying to find out who's what after Night 2.
Mod5: The first night, no roles can be used... this is spare time used to forge alliances with other people.
Roles:
Member: If SEN was a pool, the members would be the water. Their ability to vote and their sheer numbers are perfectly capable of drowning an infant troll. :awesome:
Elites: Elites are the chlorine in which strengthens the water. Their votes count twice and can be split if sent via pm.
GMs: GMs know the identity of the Admin... The Admin does not die as long as at least one of these guys are alive. If 2 are still alive, then they can send a pm to the admin to suspend up to two people. Also, The percent chance of the suspend being successful is dependent on how many votes were on that person the previous night. (#votes on person/#total players). Suspended people can not use their ability for a full turn.
Coders: They are what keeps SEN running. They can fix bugs(returns to any day or night posts and remove textwalls), Crash SEN(Stop the day and lynch player currently up for lynching), and Pacify(Skip night)
The Admin: The Admin is the god of SEN. He relies on his right hand men, the GMs. Every night he can choose someone to be banned, suspended if successful, or simply reveal their role to him.
Trolls: They have infiltrated SEN, they only have the ability to vote, but they can also use deception to lure the community from victory.
Hackers: They are Troll-sided and can ban one person a night. Bans may stack.
Devilesk: A lowly troll recently banned. He can create artwork and can stun a person during the day time. Artwork may also become clues towards his identity. If he is alive at the end of the game, he wins regardless.
Pigy-G: Hes back, and hes brought his troll army. He is the leader of the infiltrators and can easily look constructive. He cant die as long as at least one Troll is alive(not including hackers). His abilities include
DDoS(stop the current vote, may be used twice per game.) Crash(Stop the day and lynch player currently up for lynching) Troll(turns all clues into text walls; usable only once)

How does a single member with no botnet pull a DDoS? F5 lots of times from a few computers?

Might actually work on SEN, all things considered...

Ninja Mafia Day Phase:
All ninjas have sheathed their blades in a very brief and tense period of peace. No one person admits that they are an assassin, but everyone in the room knows that all of them have been sent to kill each other. The bodys of the deceased are brought into the room, and each person attempts to identify who was killed by who.
So Neki predicts that Artanis killed Azrael, and this is true, so Neki gains half a night life that may only be redeemed once he has gained one whole night life. You will be notified via PM that you have successfully done this. The following scenarios will exist then:

Guess correctly - Gain half a night life. Once you have collected two halves of a night life, it will become usable as either a life or converted into additional hits.
Guess incorrectly - You are unable to guess at the next period of peace.
Someone has correctly guessed you twice - Lose half a night life.

Puppeteer: Guesses the role of one person each night, and controls that person to perform a night action. If he guesses correctly, then the puppeteer's night action overrides the one sent by the player. If he guesses incorrectly, however, nothing will happen. In neither case will the puppeteer be informed of whether or not he guessed correctly.

For night actions with limited uses such as dodge, usage by the puppeteer will not cause any action limit to be depleted from the target, and all preconditions for usage are ignored. Actions normally resulting in the death of the user will not kill if used via puppeteer.

I was bored :awesome:

AMATEUR WHITE MAGE - The white mage is attempting to learn all white magic in the world, but alas, he is a slow learner, and has too little MP. Each night, the white mage may "charge up" one of his spells, and then optionally use a spell on a target of his choice. By charging a spell more than once, the spell becomes stronger. Using a spell depletes all charges on it.

Power: Charge - Adds 1 charge to a spell.

Spell: Cure - A spell that heals the target and neglects any damage the target may take in the meantime. A simple spell in itself, but why does it take the same effort to cast as everything else?
  • Stage 1: Cure - Protects the target from 1 hit that night.
  • Stage 2: Cura - Protects the target from 2 hits that night.
  • Stage 3: Curaga - Protects the target from 3 hits that night.
  • Stage 4: Curaja - Protects the target from all hits that night.

Spell: Heal - A spell that heals all party members, but is quite expensive and not as effective; it takes too much work to focus it on everyone, so the white mage has no choice but to limit the number of his recepients.
  • Stage 1: Heal - Chooses one target and protects him from 1 hit that night.
  • Stage 2: Healra - Chooses two targets and protects them from 1 hit each that night.
  • Stage 3: Healaga - Chooses three targets and protects them from 1 hit each that night.
  • Stage 4: Healaja - Chooses four targets and protects them from 1 hit each that night.

Spell: Life - A spell that revives a dead member, but at the cost of significant MP. The white mage can't seem to quite get the magic right without focusing much, though...
  • Stage 1: Raise - Revives one person for the next day phase, after which he returns to the dead.
  • Stage 2: Arise - Revives one person for the next day and night phases, after which he returns to the dead.
  • Stage 3: Life - Revives one person permanently and provides the target with one life.
  • Stage 4: Full-Life - Permanently resurrects the target, and grants him one additional life for a total of two.

Spell: Silence - A spell that silences the target.
  • Stage 1: Mute - Prevents the target from using night actions for one turn.
  • Stage 2: Silence - Prevents the target from using night actions for two turns.
  • Stage 3: Silencega - Prevents the target from using night actions for three turns.
  • Stage 4: Seal - Prevents the target from using night actions for the remainder of the game.

Spell: Haste - A spell that increases the speed of the target, allowing him to perform more actions in a set period of time.
  • Stage 1: Fast - Allows the target to perform two actions the following night.
  • Stage 2: Haste - Allows the target to perform two actions for the following two nights.
  • Stage 3: Hastega - Allows the target to perform two actions for the following three nights
  • Stage 4: Hasteja - Allows the target to perform two actions for all subsequent nights.

Spell: Libra - An analytical spell that reveals information about the target to the white mage.
  • Stage 1: Sense - Reveals the alignment of the target.
  • Stage 2: Scan - Reveals the role of the target.
  • Stage 3: Analyze - Reveals the role of the target as well as all of his past actions.

Spell: Reflect - A spell that protects the target from harm and whiteirects the power elsewhere.
  • Stage 1: Wall - Reflects one ability directed at the target to its user for one night.
  • Stage 2: Reflect - Reflects two abilities directed at the target to its user for one night.
  • Stage 3: Reflectga - Reflects three abilities directed at the target to its user for one night.
  • Stage 4: Reflectja - Reflects all abilities directed at the target to its user for one night.

Has anyone tried a mafia game with a player that can recruit additional mafia players? I bet that would be pretty lulzy.
