The Citadel council's decision not to fight the Reapers, much resembles how the Jedi Council were timid to act against the Mandalorians in the Mandolorian War.
The spectres can be said to be like the Jedi acting as the Council's will, out of the usual remit of the normal policing authorites. Saren could resemble a renegade jedi turned Sith, betraying the Council.
The True Sith resemble the Reapers. Both are beyond, the remits of known space, with few knowing what exactly these ancient, powerful forces strive for or that they even exist. Both are a huge potential risk to the known galaxy.
If KOTOR III was made, much like how there will be a huge war between the Reapers and the Citadel Council in Mass Effect 2/3, the True Sith could invade Republic space potentially for a similar epic showdown.
Arguments against that is unlike the Reapers the True Sith don't obliterate all advanced life every 50,000 years. The True Sith seem to be more subtle.
there are some ><
Both have a ship that serves as your command base, which is also state-of-the-art, relatively small, and very maneuverable
Both use that area as a staging ground for selecting a planet to visit, and an area to chat with your team to get to know them.
Both allow you to get to know your team better through in-base chats, and they're unlocked as you complete story threads.
Both have Carth, though in ME he's called Kaidan and whines only slightly less, and serves once again as the romance interest for females.
Both have Jennifer Hale featured prominently, as Bastila and fem-Shep respectively.
Both feature the concept of a True Evil super power from beyond the reaches of the galaxy, this super evil can warp minds to their will (note how people were "changed" around the Mandalorian wars... etc etc, and the Reapers indoctrinate).
Both have a limited number of fleshed out story locations.. though ME has fewer central locations with fewer quests in them really (you can complete all the Feros colony quests in a couple minutes by running down a hallway) (KoTOR: Taris, Korr, Man, Kash, Dant; ME: Citadel, Feros, Noveria, Vermire)(I don't count Ilos/Unknown as fleshed out)
Both feature an alignment system, KoTOR has good/evil, ME has good-cop/bad-cop
Both have a gambling game based around incrementing a numeric value to get as close as possible to 20.
Both feature a female blue-skinned alien ingenue
Both have killer robots
and like i said before.. this is more KOTOR Compared to ME... Not the movies.
Honestly all the is different is you have a lot more guns instead of swords!
but like I said its a Good game, It just upsets me that the same game creators think they can make almost the same exact game, and call it new. ( They should of kept with KOTOR as their space epic and gone about something else for another game. " And they are making KOTOR III I believe too. "
and its suppose to be some kind of MMO ><! If they were so confident with ME they would of made it the MMO but they know that star wars has the true credit to the space game.
