Quote from name:DTBK
Care to join? I don't have the time to launch a mass PM campaign to try to get a group. I offered to be in a group with people, and nobody has taken me up on my offer.
Shoot, I missed your first offer but if I'm alive tomorrow day I will group.

Quote from Norm
such as the Connection between them (A Seeming plan- something that could only be pulled off by two people who know eachother are mafia) Also, Nerdy's sweep at the mayoral election, wouldn't be too hard to achieve with a couple Mafia backing you up with their votes.
First, I hope that you realize at the time of the clue writing, we hadn't had any connection. How would JaFF know that Nerdy and I were talking on AIM 2 hours before he wrote the post? I suppose if we were both mafia he would know, but he could have hardly predicted the future to see that you all would believe me and Nerdy are in the same boat.
As for your "Mayoral sweep" bull, there are 6 mafia, and Nerdy won with 14 votes, to my 5? Subtract 6 from 14 and you have 8 townies at least voting for him.

Quote from Norm
His disregard for lynching Vreal (Who had a lot better clues against him then payne did)
Okay, I do have a few things to say about the "clues" against me. First off, if we take the case of payne's death, the "half full glass" thing clearly didn't apply (he was a townie), DESPITE the fact that he has a half full glass in his avatar. The clue against me parallel's payne's case: it references a "dinosaur skeleton" and I have what is certainly a skeleton in my avatar (the one difference is that the skeleton may not technically be a dinosaur, it's a Megaloceros Gigantus). They're both direct references, and if payne's dead and a townie, I encourage you to consider this before trying to lynch me.

Quote from Norm
And @ Vreal: A Mafia would throw something like that at me to stay in power.
So would a concerned citizen. Your vehemence against me and nerdy is not working for you. I would remind the town how dead wrong Norm was about payne:
Quote from name:Norm @ July 9 2009, 6:46am
I vote to lynch payne tomorrow morning
You had no data to come to this conclusion at this time, except perhaps the Mafia PM and the opening clue, but certainly not enough to make a conviction already if you're truly a townie.

Quote from Norm
Personally, I even think that Jaff Included clues as to NerdyTerdy's Alignment in his Post about the Mayoral Election and killing of Payne.
The most convincing piece of evidence I have so far in Nerdyterdy's favor is that he changed his avatar after thefirst post, but JaFF did not require him to change it back. This pretty much tells me there's no clues against NerdyTerdy in the Mayoral Election post. It's possible JaFF didn't include a clue against every mafia in the first post though.

Quote from Chubacca
But Vrael, hes going to die soon enough, and hes yet to take action to any of these discussions.
First off, false. Secondly, if it didn't help payne it's not going to help me. Thirdly, so what? Mafia and Townies will try equally hard not to die. Fourth:
Quote from Vrael
I am currently in Beijing, China. I am a citizen of the United States, so I hope you can see how this would affect my activity. Also as I said before, I don't feel the necessity of blurting out every half-assed theory that comes to mind. I forget who said that these half-assed theories help, but a half-assed theory just got payne killed so... I think I'm in the right.

DTBK is actually on the right track too I think, we should rely on analysis, grouping, ect, to figure out who is mafia. I'm not inactive, I've been reading and keeping up with what everyone says.

As for defending myself, I am largely of the opinion that it's useless. If I defend myself, you guys are probably just going to think I'm a mafia who doesn't want to die. However, if you want to hear my defense I'll say it.

Quote from name:Raccoon
And I don't planning on voting to lynch you, NerdyTerdy, because you are getting pretty defensive
This is BULL. A Mafia is going to defend himself just as hard as a townie.

Quote from name:Viet
So. What do we do if we lynch Vrael and he turns out to be Town Alligned?
Well, it might give you some insight as to the nature of JaFF's clues.

Quote from Chubacca
and the whole vote thing, how many mafia are there, 5 I believe right? Vrael got 5 votes for being mayor right away before NerdyTerdy had a chance to run for mayor.
Wow.
There are 6 mafia, to start off with, and early in the voting there was a post where me and Nerdy were tied at 4 votes a piece. Stop it with the bullshit, it takes like 3 seconds to go back in the topic and look.

As for me and Nerdy working together, there hasn't really been much except the conversation that he posted before, but at this point I think it's best to just be working with Nerdy, through grouping, or talking or whatever. I say this for two reasons: He doesn't appear to be trying to manipulate anyone, and JaFF's technical error of not forcing him from the game for switching his avatar, and mostly the latter even at that. I acknowledge that I could be wrong and he could still be mafia, but there's a risk to take to survive in this game, and it may as well be this one (for me at least, since it is likely that I will die tomorrow anyway). You all can take this as my public acknowledgement that I'm going to "rock his boat" (as I think Shocko put it), play by his rules, keep his counsel, swear fealty or whatever else you want to call it. Besides, if we lose I'd rather go down because of the mafia's skill rather than our disorganized mess of lynching.

I would also like to point out that I may be an easy target for mafia to argue against (scapegoat), now that you folks seem to be extremely suspicious about me.

Jul 16 2009, 11:24 am JaFF Post #483

Night has fallen on Jafferville, the first of many sleepless nights to come. As soon as the sun hides behind the horizon, figures are set in motion that cannot be undone.

Vrael is preparing for yet another attack on the town without realizing that he himself shall soon become the victim. With his handgun loaded, resting in his holster and his mind ready to kill again, Vrael is having a cup of coffee before what he expects to be a long night of hard work. He finishes up the coffee and as he is about to put the cup in the sink, a stone flies into the window, breaking it and frightening Vrael. He quickly pulls out his gun and points it at the window. Strange noise can be heard, but the mafia is unsure what it is. A few seconds later, a package containing a pound of plastic explosive and a detonator, wrapped with several layers of nails is thrown into the kitchen. In total panic, Vrael tries to escape but it is too late – the bomb goes off, killing him instantly.

Everyone in the town heard such a powerful explosion, everyone but DT_Battlekruser, as he was playing computer games and listening to loud music in his headphones. While he was playing, an unknown man was breaking into his house. As soon as the door opens, the man comes in and quickly examines the house. Nobody can be seen, but he can hear mouse clicks and keyboard strokes. He quickly realizes what his victim is doing, takes out his gun and approaches the room the sounds are coming from. The mafia slowly pushes the slightly open door not to give his presence away, entering the room where DT_Battlekruser will meet his death. The man approaches his victim from behind and shoots DT_Battlekruser in the back. Shocked and wounded, he falls of the floor, shaking uncontrollably and coughing up blood. He wants to say something, but is not granted such an opportunity; he is shot in the head before he manages to formulate his last words.

Meanwhile, Shocko is sitting in his room in a winter jacket. He does not want company, but he is well prepared for it. After over an hour of nervous anticipation, he hears a gunshot followed by the squeak of his door opening. He takes out his mobile phone and calls his mother, who is on the other side of the world.
Shocko: Hello, mother.
Shocko’s mother: Sh… Shocko?! Is that you, my son?! Oh, I am so glad to hear your vo-
Shocko: I have no time for this, mother. I’m calling to say thank you to you and my father. Thank you for the wonderful upbringing you’ve given me. Thank you…
Shocko’s mother: Shocko, is everything all right?...
Shocko: …for all the love you’ve given me. I am emotional, but I am strong. I’ll gladly sacrifice myself for the community I live in.
Shocko’s mother *through tears*: Sho… You’re not serious, are you?
Shocko: It is time. Goodbye mother.

Shocko hangs up the phone and puts it away. A few seconds after, a mafia enters the room with a shotgun. Although a bit surprised to see his victim in a winter jacket, he shoots Shocko in the chest without hesitation. Shocko falls down with a short and loud scream. The mafia approaches him to see his last breath, but notices that something is not right: there is no blood. He opens up Shocko’s jacket and finds that there is a bulletproof vest hidden under it, as well as a pack of old grenades. Shocko then grabs the mafia by the shirt with one hand and takes out the safety pin from one of the grenades with the other. There is no time to reload the double-barrel shotgun, so the mafia punches Shocko in the face with the stock several times, which is enough to make Shocko release him. He then jumps behind the couch just in time to save himself from the explosion. Though unable to hear anything but the bells’ ringing, he leaves the house otherwise unharmed.

Ultimo is sitting at his computer, chatting with some man who calls himself “1-to-1”. This mysterious man claims that he knows the identities of several mafia. He then sends Ultimo a very large file and claims that it contains irrefutable clues against the mafia. Ultimo is skeptical at first, but naïve hope slowly takes him and focuses all of his attention on the file sending process. He fails to notice how a man gets into his house through the window he left open; all he can think of now is the file transfer bar. By the time the file is sent, the intruder is already in one room with Ultimo, waiting for a suitable moment to strike. His victim opens the file with childish enthusiasm only to find that it is empty. The mafia then says “Gotcha!” out loud. Ultimo is so shocked that he even falls off his chair. The man swiftly approaches him and beats him to death with a baseball bat.

Not all townspeople are sitting at home. TassadarZeratul, a former detective with the police, is at JaFF’s house. He may have lost physical shape and gained weight after leaving the police, but his intellect and experience are still with him. He is carefully examining everything down to the smallest detail and making notes of all his findings. His progress is slow, but he does not give up – he knows that patience is the key. His thoughts are focused on one man – he wants to find out whether this man is mafia or not. Before he can go any further with his investigation, he is interrupted by distant footsteps and a voice that says “I know you’re here”. TassadarZeratul now regrets that he took his small backup revolver instead of his Glock pistol. He takes out his handgun and enters the deadly game of cat and mouse with his enemy. As he moves through the house, he hears the mafia speak again: “Look at you! You’re so fat! You’re face is all read and you’re breathing heavily just because of a little stress. Uhhhh… you’re disgustingly fat” Through his heavy breathing, TassadarZeratul replies: “It’ll take more than that to scare me. Show yourself! Show yourself!!!” After several minutes of searching, TassadarZeratul is suddenly stabbed in the back with a knife. He falls on one knee, turns around, but there is no one there. While he is looking in that direction, he is stabbed in the shoulder from another. In panic, he shoots in that direction, but does not hit his enemy. He begins franticly looking around, trying to understand where the mafia is. Several seconds later, his enemy quietly approaches him from the right and chops off both his hands with one strike. Shocked and screaming in pain, TassadarZeratul still cannot see his attacker. He is left to bleed for a minute or two, then the man finishes him off with several swift attacks, each coming from a new direction. TassadarZeratul even then could not see his killer – he was too fast and too quiet. The dying detective falls on the floor and looks up. He can see the knife used to kill him, but not the killer. His soul leaves his body and TassadarZeratul is no more.

It is early morning, the sun has not yet risen. DeVouReR can’t sleep. Not only is he nervous, he is also hungry. He reaches for the plate with sweets and eats some. He suddenly falls asleep, only to wake up tied to a chair in his living room. A man with oddly dyed hair stands in front of him, monumental and cold as death itself. He then calmly proclaims: “The undeserving to live must die.” DeVouReR struggles to get out as hard as he can, but it is no use. The man takes out a hammer and beats DeVouReR to death.

As DeVouReR is making his last sigh, the first drops of rain begin to fall. ToA is preparing to leave the town this morning; he packed all his things and worked out a route through the hills to the nearest town. Despite the stormy weather, he leaves his house and begins his journey to a new life in a new community – a community without violence and death. As he is walking on a hill, he is struck death by lightning.

The townspeople leave their houses, happy that they survived the night, and begin investigating the deaths. The most interesting find was made in Vrael’s house: in his secret stash, among many weapons, a first aid kit and a diploma in medicine were found. It became clear that he was a mafia doctor. This is good news for the town, but they are still far from victory. After the bodies (or what’s left of them, in some cases) are buried, everyone assembles at the mayor’s house to decide who to lynch.

* Day 2 Start *
Town, do your thing.

Notes about clues:
1. Every man that achieves a kill has clues against him. In the first post, clues were included against all mafia members.
2. Try to pay more attention to general things. Sometimes, a whole paragraph is one clue/reference, but not the specific words/phrases in it.
3. Use your imagination and your knowledge to find connections. Google, Wikipedia and the search function @ SEN are your friends.

I have to go to work now, so I'll just write some notes down that I took and elaborate on them earlier. As of now, I think we should be lynching Almost Alive.

“Applying the half empty/full glass of water principle, this man is an optimist in life.”

Upon further investigation, I'm pretty sure this points to Almost Alive. Why? An optimistic person would refer to a glass filled with water as "almost" full. Also, this man is an "optimist IN LIFE." Hence Almost Alive. Although I can't be sure about this, I'm pretty sure this clues points to him.

Oddly dyed hair? Look at Almost Alive's avatar. Cold as death.. if you're ALMOST alive, you are technically still dead.

Will elaborate more later. My vote's on Almost Alive for now.

Hey Raccoon, if you are going to try to interpret some clues, please make it make sense, lol funny dyed hair, would be like blue, green, purple, One thing sephiroth hair is like that not because he dyed it, but because he is just a bad ass, now i would understand if it said some homie with a huge sword stabbed the crap out of him, but it didn't please focus this clue one something that actually makes sense. A way to test this is, do that in google image see if a person with white hair comes up. This is not concidered odd.

if we are going to go with that clue i would say almost alives in more to fit this, his avatar has pink hair
lol im almost certain it is him actually because it says monumental and cold as death itself. That actually fits his name almost alive, means he is dead because he is not alive. Ok so don't just say stuff actually study clues.

I would think that Ashamed's avatar is more relavent to the part about the "cold as death" part more than the dyed hair part. I have no clue what Ashamed's avatar is, but it looks kind of.... "cold as death"
And Ashamed, before you get all up tight and defensive about clues against you, I didn't even vote for you, I'm just throwing out ideas that may help.
