Hi y'all. Yeah been away for a while. Finally got around to reinstalling starcraft and went hunting around for mod tools  Anyway, I pulled the stat_txt.tbl out of patch_rt.mpq from 1.16.1 with WinMPQ. Unfortunately for some reason all the entries are in spanish. This doesn't seem to make any sense considering disks are english, as is all of the in-game text. Anyone have any idea wtf is going on with that? I thought there was a completely different stat_txt.tbl for each language, but if that were the case then you'd think my in-game text would also be spanish. Oh and if someone could post a patch_rt.mpq or just the stat_txt.tbl from an english version that'd be awesome...

There's a perfect stat_txt.tbl in Datedit's files you can use.

If anything cool is ever going on Skype me up under the name "blarghle"

Sounds as tho you've pulled the Spanish stat_txt.tbl from your patch_rt.mpq which I believe is locale ID 1304 if I recall or maybe that's German? You need to pull the one with locale ID 0

Patch_rt.mpq includes several versions of all things string related such as .bin and .tbl files. This is a generic file for all languages as opposed to stardat, broodat and the cds. If you don't have several stat_txt.tbls in your patch_rt.mpq, then something is pretty screwy. You can click the Locale ID tab in WinMPQ to sort by locale ID. This will place all the English or locale ID 0 files a top the list.

To add a file as a different ID other than the default English one, you can do that via the Options tab. This is a bit obscure, but there is a chance that maybe you'd like to include multilanguage files in your mod. Unlikely, but if you do that's how you would add them.

Yeah... thanks. I'll figure it out. Anyway, another question. Can anyone recommend a place to get all of the Starcraft listfiles? So far I've only found one for BrooDat.mpq and an incomplete one for StarDat.mpq. I used to have a Mac tool that had all the listfiles built in, but I can find it anymore...

StarDat has a few (like 4) unknowns. That is normal, they are unused.

Ah yes, I remembered there was a site that coordinated the indexing of those archives but I couldn't remember what it was called... And the StarDat.mpq one I already had contains like 20 unknowns >.<
