Black terrain

I'm making map, and my map has lot's of 'Black terrain' and I want change it to normal walkable terrain (rectangular), but changing it manually would take loooong time.
My question is, is there any program that can change all specific tilests to another? e.g. black terrain to Sandy sunken pit.

I hope you understand what I mean.

Honestly, don't be lazy. Just use SCMDraft, select whatever tile you want, set it to rectangular, and start filling the spots in. Remember that you can modify the size you're inputting to a custom specification; IE: 2x1, 5x3, whatever floats your boat.

If you're using scmdraft then under tileset indexed change the numbers to however many tiles you need and just place it.

This isn't being lazy.. It's something that editors have been lacking for a long time. Also for larger regions I prefer StarForge because the cursor is positioned on the top left of the selection square, and +/- keys can be used to quickly change sizes... Unfortunately, though, switching between these editors can end very badly.

Oh, wow. :P I could probably make a quick tool if you know the exact tile IDs you want to replace and want to replace with. ("quick tool" does not imply that it will have graphical tile selection and such. >.>)

Oh... sorry :P. You could've started the map out with dirt tiles or something... you probably just clicked Null.

Yes, that is the tile ID... sort-of (for our purposes here, just read that as "yes".) I did make a program, and that is how it wants it.
Downalod.
Also I only tested this with one map, so be sure to save with a different filename.

0012.00 would be used like [12 ]-[0 ], where [..] indicates the text fields in the program. >.> Leading zeroes wont break anything.

I got message "Replaced 39596 instances of tile 9-6." Then i save the map with new name, but when i try to open changed map, i get 'error while opening map'.

Are you using ScmDraft? Because it is overly sensitive regarding copy protection. Try opening it in staredit, x-tra or starforge and save it again. That usually fixes it for ScmDraft.

With Staredit it works! Thanks.
All black tiles replaced with sand tiles, thanks to O)FaRTy1billion[MM].

Edit: Oh.. staredit frozez if i try to save my map :S
Edit2: No problem anymore, It saved even staredit froze.

I can only get it to open with StarForge... It only edits TILE and MTXM, and doesn't seem to change anything else that it isn't supposed to.. >.>
Also I wouldn't overwrite your original just yet, I did find a mistake that made it read too much data.

I found a random 0x00 at the end of the chk that, when deleted, makes it open in more things. Lemme try putting it back into the map and seeing if that fixes it.

Since when does editing the TILE or MTXM section make a map crash? xC Nothing else is changed.
StarForge can open it... but SCMDraft can't.
Nevermind, SCMdraft can't even open the source map I used. Let me try a different map.

Yeah, that stray null is the problem. No idea how it got there, but I'll fix it.

There might be something else that caused map crash, afterall this is quite big map... well i'm not sure but i'll have to go to sleep because time is 1:13AM here and i'm tired.
I'll try one trick tomorrow, I'll use Scmdraft to copy terrain to new map (my map has terrain only right now), usually this fixes my map crashing problems.

Well, I believe I fixed it. It now opens maps in StarEdit, SCMDraft, etc. without crashing. Same link as before.
