Hello thar. i need to know everything about map revealers. Most urgently I need to know exactly what conditions and actions can work on map revealers.
I now know.
* Map revealers can only be killed by a kill all units action and remove all units.
* Map revealers can be placed on a rescuable players team and rescued.
* Locations can't be centred on map revealers. >:(
* Map revealers can be detected with the command condition.
* Map revealers decrease the unit limit because they are units, too.
* Map revealers have a vision range of 10
* Map revealers can be placed anywhere

They can't? I thought they could. And, can't you remove map revealers? It's sort of another way to "kill" them.

Map revealers have a vision range of 8.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

Are you sure you can't center locations on map revealers? It's the only actually invisible unit there is (no distortion).

You cannot. If you want a completely non-detectable thing, just place another location, and center it on a unit not in that location, and it will move to the center of that little location :P

You can create map revealers
If you use the hallucinated power-up trick, you can get map revealers to become visible.

I'll look that up and edit the new stuff in.

Since when? DatEdit says 10.
I'll edit that in.
Thanks for the info everybody, I still hope there is a way to centre a location on map revealers.
Edit; found a link to the hallucinated power-up glitch. The site also has a number of other things. I'm going to experiment with it.
Edit; Can't find a powerup with hp, though I know i have done that once. Plz help.

Mineral and gas chunks have HP. You can also create hallucinated normal powerups with triggers.

Creating a hallucinatited powerup seems like the best option. I'll check. Is there anyway to make a unit pick up a power up with a trigger?
Edit: Anyway to speed up the death of a hallucination?
Edit: Still need to speed up the death of a hallucination but I also need to automate the hallucination poweruup trick. A sample map would be very helpful,

Just create a worker near it. They automatically pick it up.
No, you can't speed it up.
It takes about 80 seconds (if I remember correctly...)

Oh, that makes it a lot easier.
Edit: Milliseconds or seconds?

O.o seconds... If it was 80 milliseconds, it would take less than 1/10th of a second.
You could try shortening it. I think I just did 80 in my map just to be safe.

Actually, probably the best way to figure out a more specific estimate would be adding like 1 mineral per second, and then taking note of when a hallucination dies (it's creation being 0 on the mineral timer.)

It was an unreleased "probe arena" concept map.

Also see the last bit of my previous post... I edited it in.

Just for clarity how exactly is the glitch used to get visible map revealers?

O.o? I've never heard of that before...

Unless you can manage to do it with a unit number of 405, it's not possible (The highest valid placeable unit number is 227...)
