How Starcraft randomizate Humans Players

When i play my map, i get in the position of the P1 (human). Other times, i am in the position of the P2 (human too), others in P3, P4, etc..
This push me to think that Starcraft make a randomization of the humans players and his triggers.

Anybody can explain it better and give me some more info about this fact??

Anyway to control this? Is'nt important?

ᴄʜᴇᴇsᴇ ɪᴛ!

Under the forces tab, uncheck "randomize start location". AFAIK, if there are 8 players, each player has a 1/8 chance of being player 1.

It's alright. Everyone here was at some point in their life. That's why they come to SEN!

Lol. Alot of people did know more than s/he did, but I saw a topic about randomizing start locations, so he's not alone at least.

This kind of question used to be common. I dunno what you're talking about DM.

CeR, if you have a question, or just want to browse through some info, check out the wiki.

You can uncheck random start locations in certain forces in case you have certain colors that you want a certain force to have, having them checked will basically just randomize the color of the start locations, but it will keep all the corresponding triggers for that start location, so all it really does is randomize who is in what slot, and what color they get.

And... if I want to randomize the slot, but not the color (for example, because I want to display messages with the color of the player) what i must do?

Disable Start Locations, in the Forces section, and then use switch randomization to trigger who is picked to be Phantom.

So far, he's doing better than ggg. Although, spanish is much closer to english than lithuanian.

For randomization, you need to randomize 3 switches. Those 3 switches will act as a bit, a 0 or 1. That means you have 8 possibilities when you randomize 3 times:

1. 000
2. 001
3. 010
4. 011
5. 100
6. 101
7. 110
8. 111

Now, if all 3 switches are set, you will designate player 8 as the phantom. If none are set, player 1 will be the phantom. So on and so forth.

A cleaner version, and easier to trigger version would involve death counts, and randomizing the same trigger. The first randomization would add 4 if set, the second would add 2 if set, and the third would add 1 if set. Then, you will have a number from 0-7, or 8 possibilities, and can follow the same concept as before. Lo siento si es difícil comprender. Hace trés años que he hablado y no puedo comunicar en español como puede comunicar en inglés.

You couldn't be more wrong. The closer to Starcraft's release, the less people knew. In fact, it seems these days most of the questions in the various Assistance forums are getting to be of the kind where you need to actually test some stuff to answer them.

Disable Start Locations, in the Forces section, and then use switch randomization to trigger who is picked to be Phantom.

This will not actually randomize slots, though. Physically randomizing the slot is impossible without using Random Start Locations; what Falkoner suggests only pseudorandomizes the slot by allowing all of the triggers for a given slot to act on player "x" where x is a player that is randomly chosen.

NudeRaider -- PSA: ASUS apparently decided their RMA department needs to "become profitable" and for a while now outright tries to scam customers. They were called out on it a year ago, promised to change, but didn't. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pMrssIrKcY so my recommendation: Stop buying ASUS, and if you already have and need something RMA'd, make sure to not let them bully you into paying.
