First Thor drawing attempt in MSN

Larva Crossing will obviously remind you of the classic game called Frogger. Though Larva Crossing takes an amount of cooperation to multitasking. The goal is very simple, bring your Larva across the road without having it killed. As it grows, you have the chance to kill any other larva. But by just having it ran over will simply revive the Larva. To control the Larva, you control a Stargate where three hotkeys allows you to control the Larva. Either turning left or right, it will not stop until you order it to stop. And secondly, you control a Defiler that allows the player to cast his swarm to create creep upon the road surface to guide the larva across the road. This map can consist three game modes between a Free for All, Teams, or by Beating the Clock.
Selecting Traffic (Difficulty) Neighborhood (Few cars passing by, peaceful) Downtown (Frequent amount of cars passing by, there are also "Invisible Cars") Freeway (A vast amount of cars passing by, center lane moves to a different direction) Dangerous (There are Police Cars chasing down criminals as they often change lanes, beware) Game Modes Free for All (All six players respawns at the same spot, the first to reach across and grow up wins) Teams (Two teams, the Tiamat Brood and the Jormungand Brood attempting to cross the larva to invade the other Team's beacon) Beat the Clock (Everybody is teamed up, the time is ticking along the way. When a larva is across, another larva will take place and MUST get across under the time taken from the previous larva.) Larvae vs Drivers (Traffic Difficulty is disabled, one team has to cross the road while the other team has to run over all larvae to win. The only ability as a driver is to use nitro to speed up your vehicle for a short time) Other Obstacles Naked Civilians (Unfortunately, these pricks have to be avoided. Larvae are not immune to human STD, beware) Pet Control (They just want you safe, there are chances that they will steal your larva or bring him back where the larva started) Asphalt Terrain (Obviously, these will simply kill the larva) Other Features "Emotes" and "Alternate Talking" - Allowing players use secret codes to name themselves such as Jim Raynor rather than the common "Red has crossed the road, Red controls the larva, Red's larva dies" along having players use "Emotes" as if it's "/me" during the game. Also a few set up words such as 'lol'. ScreenShots Screenshot 1 A defiler preparing to create creep upon the road. Screenshot 2 The defiler creates the creep. Screenshot 3 The control panel to order the larva around. |

Taking StarCraft Map Making to the Limit!

Lolz, naked civilian... He looks naked anyway
Nice looking map, I wish I could come up with simple maps like this, even when I come up with the ideas, I always make the maps too complex for the ideas.

Player 11 Civilians.
Believe me, making this map is actually complex to make even if it doesn't have that many triggers. I added to "/me" system to allow players emote and the "Change Username" (Basically a scripted message) to add replay value. What do you mean? Keep crossing the road back and forth or losing the 'Stop' command? |

Wait... So you're using EUDs? Or are there set usernames? |

There's a set of usernames. The only way to get them is to 'get a code' using hotkeys on the Gateway. It should be 7 characters long. The default is player color. Then you may use the Barracks, Starport, Factory, Robotics Facility, and Stargate to bring out emotes or under dialogue. The gateway is still there to allow you to change your name. All of this has no effect when you press Enter/Return as you type.

This sure looks promising. The map seems like a rush of fresh air, it's a completely new kind of gameplay, it obviously stands apart from the usual games you see in b.net.
If you need a tester call me. |

I think he means a game mode where you have to keep crossing the road until you die. You should have power ups that allow you take 1 hit from a car or whatever. |

One where you can't stop, like doodle said, and also, the cars are Faster then they are in the regular one, and there will be Fake powerups that can kill you!

Using emotes is an interesting idea as afar as I'm concerned, but will the players have time to actually change it? Also, I'm planning to break the emote spam, a limit of 5 emotes at the time if rapidly emoting, then wait a bunch of seconds to do it again. I think he means a game mode where you have to keep crossing the road until you die. You should have power ups that allow you take 1 hit from a car or whatever. No, one where you can't Stop, so it's harder. It would be cooler if different areas would have different terrain. Like the first level would have have some trees. 3rd would have some large overpass signs.
Not really neccesary, though. |

another use for the power ups like you said for points, cash in points for secret codes. This way, you have to keep trying for secret codes. Don't make them lyke 1 point for 1 code, make it like 1000 points or something for 1 code, and the power up is 1 point. That way, they will have to play till they blow out their brains to get a code.
