Nice find, can't believe it took that long for people to find that glitch out. I hope it doesn't crash anyone inside the game... You wouldn't do that, right?

... :flamer: right?!

No it wouldn't =P

And it isn't so much a glitch as quirk.

I can see that it's a quirk, not a glitch, whoops. XD

I order you to forgive yourself!

I got a pretty good idea for a defense map. I'll try and see if I can make a proof of concept. Then, someone can probably pick it up from there. (It breaks a old paradigm.)

Wow great job/idea ... I'm surprised no one else found this out sooner. I'm curious... after the units are given to an enemy player and dropped out do they show blue for all players or just the player name in which it was created.

It seems like Apos' idea of a defense map above would mean that in a MP game, the units would only appear blue to one of the human players, and not all of them.

For clarity, if you are on the receiving end of this effect (i.e. a hallucinated enemy unit is loaded, given to you, and unloaded), does the unit appear normal (not blue) to you?

Yes. It will only appear blue to its first owner. Likewise, if you rescue someone else's hallucinations, they will look normal as well.

Since I'm not going to make any map, I'll explain what my idea general was.

A generic defense map where each player defend their own part of the map. The units that come out for you are hallucinated for you. (At least that's what I remember I had in mind.)

Daymn! Nice. Now... how shall I use this...

I really liked how you posted your train of thought and how you eventually came to your discovery.

Hey I was just wondering if this system makes the hallucinated unit appear blue to every single player in the game, or just between the 2 players it was given from and to?

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless
[05:02 am]
Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value
[05:01 am]
Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
[12:51 am]
Oh_Man -- definitely EUD
