I personally am moving from Art Rock (
)to Post Rock (because I can't find anything better in the moment, to be honest).

None.
Mogwai and Sigur Ros and two other great bands of that genre.
Have fun discovering them =)
None.
Interesting find. Suits my mood.
Edit: I change my mind, the first song you posted is just truly fucking epic. Ive been looking a while for a song like this one.

East Hasting is actually a song of 18 minutes-or-so, but I must admit the guy who made the 10 minute version really took the best of it.
Moya, though, is in integrality. The song right after Moya (the album only has 2 songs) is rather epic too, but it's a bit more experimental (Godspeed You often uses interviews in their music).
The album of East Hasting is F#A# (Infinity), it inspired "28 days later", the horror movie (and I understand why).

Then its natural that I would like it, since 28 days later is pretty much a zombie movie.

I've recently discovered Yndi Halda. What a fucking great band of post-rock!
Most of the songs you find of them on YouTube are cut because they are way too long, so it's rather sad to not have access to a whole piece without any interruptions.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyBzwl_xkLU (too bad there is the very last second of the video... it just makes you feel like you are missing a great piece of it that you cannot find)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXTVDOHt-NoAlso, I've been told by some post-rock lovers that this work, even though not post-rock, is just awesome (and it is):

Not terrible but I'll stick with Post-Hardcore.
What exactly is 'Post-whatever' ? It's as if every other genre is using it now. Does that mean that they used to do that or something? ._.

Post can mean it came after the movement of, or that it extends beyond and advances the concepts past the specified genre. Think of it as building a better genre on the basis of a previous one. Musical evolution if you will.

How about an example ;o
Of course.

I really liked "Get Out". I saw "Wish You Were Here" in their other songs' list, so I couldn't resist... and imo, the result was catastrophic.
The rest of the songs were either prohibited for my region or sucked.
Post-Rock ftw.
None.
I don't know how relevant it is (especially considering they are apparently classified as indie or something), but based on my understanding of this being more "background music" and noise I'm going to bring up
this. Those songs aren't ones that I've heard, but they are the only ones by them that I can find on the whole intrenetz.

I like pretty much every song off that album. Thermacare should've been a goddamned single because its so good, yet they b-sided it.
Stop ruining my topic with this crap! >:O
Post-Rock > all, period.
No but seriously, go create a Post-Hardcore topic if you want, but please leave this topic clean of other music styles' links.
