The L4 for mutant is really annoying. I was winning and never died with like 50 Zerg Missle Upgrade, 30 Melee upgrade, and 35 armor but I was fooling around and I lost all 3 lives from L4 morphing.

Are you saying when you casted ur lv4(as mutant), it misplaced/glitched and killed you?

Yeah I think that's what happened to me that time ago :S!
Good counters vs mutants can really come down to what tech they're using.
Your best bet really is 'fierce warriur' who dun fears for nothing (or whatever it is that moose says ;P!) because of the high HP, fast speed, and good damage, it makes to be an easy kill. However your L2 can ultimately rear end you.
I won 1vs1 Archer vs Mutant earlier (I was archer) Not to say archer is particularly good but the mutalisks have high dmg and mutant has wee little hp.
Volt is pretty good I guess. L1 is pretty lame but L2 makes all of his units not attack including lurkers and L3 makes him stand still and low mana...

Units that arn't good generally tend to be Light Mage (Light Barrier's little delay causes for an easy lurker raping)
Assassin (Though you can teleport, be caught off guard and you die almost instantly to the lurkers)

Heh, I just played a game as mutant, and I had my lv 3 spell. All 3 of the enemy heroes were ganging up on me, so I used lurkers, and killed them all at once! :lol:

My team still lost that game though.... :(

Yes. I also think that Archer is too underpowered. It isn't matched for anything really, unless I'm playing it.

If Archers L1 got any stronger it'd be beyond rigged it's unreal. Archers Level 2 is border line useless, serves as a good feed, but dies too easily to hero's, the L3 got beefed up in more recent versions so as to whether or not it's good now is still undecided, but Archers L4 surely does rape. Archer just starts out weak, it gets better over time and proves to be quite a valuable asset to some teams. I still think something is kinda missing, but meh.

The obvious lacking character is marine with absolutely no fun spells :S!
Summoner with the capability of hugely overpowering any non splash units.
Light mage eating up all my mana for trying to cast L1 multiple times and not even casting L1 :S!!
Volt's L1 with the scourges missing a huge percentage of the time...
Warrior is a pretty cool guy...
Dark Mage, though Moose and CAFG disagree and probably most do, I think the Dark Archon got screwed so much now that it's beyond gay. With the ability to cast Mael or Feedback once per summon or until recharge it is basically just a huge feed. If anything the DA should be taken away after X seconds and work like the Assaults L1.
Talking about Assault, if you play him at the right spot, you will be able to kill a whole path worth of food, including your teams, so if you send all one path means the other team can get screwed hardcore...
Medic is a cool gal, possibility of lockdown costing 250 would be something fun to try out. It would be good vs mech. Downside is mech can transform and escape anyways. Upside is that the medic could cast Level 4 and get all her energy back to cast it again (costing 120 mana...) Moose says it's too anti mech, but I think that giving it a try wouldn't hurt too much.
Assassin is pretty cool guy.
Light Mage is pretty cool guy.
Yeah... that's about all my rants right now :S!

You know mech only anti- is archer, and it isn't even that much of a counter. Maybe medic should have that 250 lock.... wait comboing it with disable = way 2 ez gg.

hmmmm. mech really needs a more solid counter, considering he's already a top tier character w/o a lv4. If mech ends up getting a good lv4, there will be need for a better mech counter.

...you know maybe mech's already counterable enough by medic disable.

I have been feeling the same about Archer.. especially since he's my fav char..
It's probably because i wanted it to be versatile.. but its L2 is sux0r with the new terrain and stuff....

Mech used to suck a lot too.. until Bike mode got better.. Before that I also gave all of the transformation an HP boost... so I don't know about that...

Dark Mage is fun with the curses.. a Smart Dark Mage would hide her Dark Orb a few paces back, and bring it forth when Hero comes to kill her :).

Marine HAS fun Spells >:C.. Mines got attack upgr, and laying mines everywhere is fun.. His L2 got a bit sucky after v1.2, which will probably need a bit of tweaking... L3 is fun irradiating, L4 is like mines everywhere =D, hellllla fun. Also Marine itself is great grinder.

What I needa do is fix up the spawns just like I said, so they don't feed as much, which will definately De-power the Summoner.

The only problem I have with the map is Mutant's level 3 spell. It is way too powerful for just a lvl 3. I think it should swap places with Level 4 and adjust the ultra, accordingly. I say this because ling can easily run in and do level 3, raping off at least 700hp (and most heroes are high damage, low hp) while ultra can't do that and you lose some speed to catch them.

Another proposal is night vision on assassin. Assassin is supposed to shine at night time, but for me there is way too many ways to detect the assassin during nighttime: Night Vision (Mutant), Ensnare (Dark Mage), Science Vessel (Marine), Plague (Summoner), Maelstrom (Dark Mage), Mines (Marine & Mech [Vulture]), Missle Turrets (Marine [Scv]), Spore Colonies (Archer [Drone]), Cannons (obvious).

To me, that's way too many ways to reveal the assassin. Some are a given, such as the Sci's and cannons, while the Turrets, Spores, and Vulture mines are unlikely. Although I have no method to improve this, but mutant can easily rape the assassin before teleporting with spell 1 + spell 3 :\ You may say no one picks these units, but there is AT LEAST one person that is 1 of the above.

Except for those two issues, this map is awesome and I only regret not playing it sooner.

I have beef with a lot of characters and Assassin was one of them but it wasn't for that reason. I think you seem to forget that after a certain point, in the night time, if the assassin gets next to you, L2 + L4 == rape face...

That is: A long recharge time early game, AND when the hell are you gonna get 180 gas so soon?

I disagree with just about everything you said alpr.

If you were playing 1.4m, then the lurks are already balanced. They do not rape face half as much anymore. Ling's lv4 kills the temple probably better than anything else, maybe only second to archer lv4.

assasin can and does teleport b4 that happens to him. The only thing he really fears is disable and lv3volt. Plague is expensive, many times I want to cast it when i cant. His lv2 is the ultimate combo maker. missile turrets die very easy. Assasin and medic are the 2 expert classes that can't be played with good results until you half-mastered the game.
