Is it OK to submit unoriginal maps to DLDB?

Wrong forum, but I don't know where to put this. Is it alright to submit maps to the database if I did not make them? Assuming of course that I clarify this somewhere in my submission. I have a lot of nice maps that I can't find on any databases, and I think more people should play them.
Just wondering.

Yes, as long as you don't try to say that you made it.

It's encouraged, isn't it? Either way, go for it

You also must not forget to place the file in limbo. This means that you don't say its "This file is open source", or "This file is closed source", you place it as "unknown".

As long as you tag them properly :><: Keep the submissions unlocked just to be safe, so the DLDB staff can edit the tags if necessary.

I will start to upload maps that I have that I think others would enjoy. Just imagine how big the database would be if everyone submitted maps that they have accumulated over the years... I have at least 500+ maps that are not mine.

Obviously you won't upload every map you have, otherwise the DLDB would be full of rigged and sexy pict maps :P

We live in a society.

Of course. The Map DB would be pretty stupid without it.
Just make sure to give credit where it is due, use proper tags, and that you're not uploading double maps.

Also, make sure not to upload any maps made by members with the 2707 tag in their name. We want to try and keep our DLDB noob free.
