I don't know if it is the right place for it, but i want to ask that how could i make custom triggers for game templates (free for all, and all top vs bottom games, especially).

What do you mean by how? Are you wondering what triggers are used in those games, or are you wondering how to make them into a template form? Or a bit of both?

I mean the whole thing i have to know about that, besides, how to build up the trigger "logic" itself. So lets say for example, i want to change the trigger for the free for all game mode.

Oh, only in the UMS game mode will the game read the actual triggers you have, any other modes simply read sprites and starting locations, ignoring anything else.

but what is the file melee.trg for? Can i make modified tirggers for melee game mode somehow?

That would be modding, every player in the game would have to have the modification in order for it to work.

well i know that. So is there a way to do that? (for free for all for exemple) i'm making a mod which requires that (at the current stage)

Just export *.trg and, with a hex editor, delete the first 8 bytes.
You can use anything BUT strings (well, you technically can. It's just usually melee maps only have mapname, description, and 'anywhere'.), locations, and CUWP slots.

Oh, and if you do use strings, you need to do more than just delete the first 8 bytes... I don't much feel like going into details. ;) To get around it, you can just hexedit the CHK and delete all but the TRIG section (deletion includes header and section length. They are not necessary.)

With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
