Really, it isn't... They apparently think they are gross (unless they are whores, I suppose.) ...I have friends (of both genders) who talk about both side's perceptions. Also casual nudity shouldn't be very erotic. If I saw a nude woman just walking down the street or something I may give her a stare, but I wont be like "OMFG<3<3<3" and instantly be chasing after her like a dog. And how does casual nudity contribute to adultery? The only time that would happen would be if you are specifically staring and watching (or if she's actually doing a sexually-im/explicit act.) I do agree that most of this is just the way we are raised. Also just because a really fat or wrinkly person is nude does not mean you'll be forced to sit and stare at the atrocious scene. Just like you would a really fat or wrinkly person in a bathing suit, you look away.

I wear clothing for protection from the elements, and because I don't want to be burned from scalding hot milk (at work) and because...that's gross to think of all the people who'd sit naked on a bus before you. I'm a germ-aphobe...but...ewwwwwwwwww gross.

Well, how can there be no reason? Unless their arms decide to suddenly remove it without their knowing, in which case I should think the phrase "insane" would be more appropriate. =P If they bother to take off their shirt, they feel that they have something to gain by doing so. If they don't put a shirt on, then they feel they have something to lose ( effort ) by not doing so.
