• You didn't claim until just now, when you should have known from day 1 after Roy claimed publicly.

I took the advice given here:

It would be simply stupid to try to counter-claim when I had absolutely no evidence, behavioral or otherwise. There is no way I could have sufficiently proved my role at the start of the game, and attempting to publicly state it would achieve nothing but making me a huge target for the Cylons. There was nothing to be gained by such a foolish move.

Which brings me to the question of why Roy has not been killed yet, despite his public Scientist claim making him an obvious target. Even if he had Doctor protection, if the Cylons had any brains at all they would anticipate this in advance and use double or triple hits to bypass it. It is too coincidental that he has not been killed in the past 3 nights, despite the fact that if he really were the Scientist, he would be basically a #1 priority target.

I did not ask him to, as you so bluntly put it, "save my ass". Even so, whether or not Excalibur is really the Security Officer is irrelevant to the points I made; he is almost certainly Crew-aligned regardless, and that is all that matters, as he is now dead and can no longer use his powers.

In fairness, that "clue" was interpreted by Tempz, who is not exactly known for stellar clue interpretations. Not to mention that is far too obvious,

I fail to see the relevance of this, but I have been working behind the scenes until now, when I finally decided that enough was enough and that I should intervene before things got worse than they already are.

That was written BEFORE someone else claimed scientist, what did you think would happen if someone claimed a power role and no one counter claimed it?

That person would become a target and likely die before he could make good use of his powers. What else?

And what might those suspicions be? If I was Cylon and wanted to act against Roy via false counter-claiming, I would have done it sooner. As I've said before, the only reason I'm revealing myself now is because my plans to operate in secret have been compromised.

EDIT:
I doubt this is the case, as 2 Scientists would probably be too unbalanced in favor of the Crew. If there are indeed 2 Scientists though, then I think I have just massively failed. We'll find out at the end of the game .

I'd like to point out that its entirely possible we have 2 scientists. Angel, if you haven't investigated Norm or Lingie, why are you so convinced that Roy is a cylon?

I have assumed up until this point that there is only one Scientist.

Also, Roy's lack of posting quotes from his investigation results (or his role PM), while not necessary, is at least suspicious. His habit of starting bandwagons is also, in my opinion, suspicious.
