How about space pirates zombies?
You could have a feature of warp engines, making traveling conventionally incredibly silly via slowing unit trigger. And then individual planets, being overrun by zombies.

Why do I suggest this? Because man, sc1 has limited capabilities, and sticking within the scope of sc gives you more ease of use and to work with.

was the RPG contest map. Except now I'm working on it alone. You don't need to physically help, but I'd appreciate feedback and ideas.

The reason I'm doing it on my own is because many people made amends to work on it and never got around to it. I figure if it's all up to me I don't need to rely on others.

Theoretically yes, but considering all of SEN's group projects have gone nowhere, I'd venture to assume that isn't the case for us. Sucks, too, since we've had a lot of good ideas that were never completed.

BTW zombies are better. If pirates were good video game material there would be more pirate video games, but they aren't.

Look at the forum on the first post. There's a base of information to discuss and expand. The map as of now is just character customization, no actual gameplay yet.
a "Base" isn't just a base of information to discuss and expand
what I mean is a Basic Map with minimal gameplay already implemented and playable. Once a map has entered that stage and you show it to other people here, I'm sure a Lot of people will come in and help.
To be Honest, I've been contemplating a Zombie map for a Long, LONG time as well.
But without seeing a Base.. there's no way I'd know whether my ideas can mingle with yours.

I suppose it's my fault for failing to mention that this is a remake of a previous version I worked on that you can find
here. It's slightly buggy but there's a little bit of gameplay. It's basically the testing grounds of what I planned the last one to be (the group one).
It includes a crude menu, a crude life after death system (that wasn't completed), an ammo system, some "perks", a horde AI system, some pretty good terrain, and an interior system with which you have to turn on the lights of a building to have vision. There's one interior, it looks like a gas station. There's also background music I think.
