Blizzard DOTA has a ton of new doodads, abilities, and art that can be used by custom map designers.
Showing off tint color manipulation to make rainbow archon. Showing off power slide feature for missile data. Showing off ASDF movement and click casting to fire an Immortal's weapon.

Map Marketplace still in development.
10mb limitation is an issue and they may change it in the future.
Blizzard DOTA will be continually supported and updated.
Looking into and trying to improve WASD and mouse tracking lag.
No plans to let map makers upload to other regions but it's something to think about.
New custom maps wil be unloacked for us to use.
Complaint about the popularity system in regards to testing. They suggest that you use forums to find testers and test them.

Can hotkeys from the command card be enabled with the UI gone? No.
Is data mining possible after games for feedback testing to see how teams do in custom pvp maps? No, maybe in the future.
Inventory system in SC2 sucks. Will they rework it? Maybe.
They haven't explored the idea of linking multiplayer maps like you can in WC3. They will consider it.
Global high scores possible? Yes with banks.
WoW has spell power. Is there a way to include solething like that in SC2? Yes using custom attributes an dialogs.
Any plans to include an in editor art or sound maker so map makers don't have to use Photoshop or 3rd party tools? They will release their art tool in the far future.
Map lobby is an ongoing changing thing.
Single player custom campaigns? In the future sure.
