Hmm... Most obvious clue is shit. Raccoon is named after a raccoons, and raccoons eat trash -- shit that people throw away. A more... eh... bold... clue is the fact that the word "raccoon" is very similar to a certain racial slur that refers to people of a darker -- shit-colored -- skin tone. Furthermore, Raccoon's avatar is a weird-ass thing with one eyeball, which would I guess match with the post's mindfuck (nested hallucinations) theme.
