For anyone who's played Gauntlet Legends, think of the first level and then look at these.
<Images omitted>

I know a lot of it is repetitive/blocky/could be better, and its a work in progress, but there's a lot to be done and I'm just happy to have something to show at this point.

I like the staircase at the top right; was thinking of something similar but could never get it right.

How is the vision/width? I might be able to use that in a melee map if it's normal.

I have not messed around with custom terrain for awhile now.

Look, a temple bridge that only works from one angle!
I should make water flow under it.
Very great. I think the linear block could pass in-game since it's man-made... :O

As nice as they may look they just aren't for balanced melee use. Even if the widths are similar, I just don't think it'd match up.

Thank you. Gauntlet Legends was a really big part of my N64-focused childhood years and its a great basis and inspiration to work with.

I hope to get the first level or two finished, then do the trigger systems and make a demo before I go making the whole big thing. I may have to enlist the help of someone who can use trigger duplicators to help with the systems.

Ex, i like it, although why not use more of a variety for the cliff subtile groups? But if it's that way for some sort of consistent style then never mind.

The sword and the faith

Any of the walls/cliffs that will actually be seen in game will be taken care of to be a bit more random, but a lot of what you'll see on the screens will be unviewable in game due to the angle.

Their not covering any blocks, it's just that seeing a few half-pillars was annoying, so I completed their doodad-state by throwing those in.

Been working on a Volcano Run map, and in the process, I've made some great Ash World blends to supplement those I've posted elsewhere. Here are screenies and an attached brush palette (which also contains the old blends).

Tapered/sloped Dirt-to-Dirt cliff:

Shale bridge:

Wow david, these are fantastic. There's a big block on the ramp going to the walkable lava though.

Thanks :D I do wish there was a way to fix that block... I originally used a crater tile, but even then, it was just a choice of the least jarring block...

I like how it actually looks like its sloping downwards.
