Changing player colors does not make the map broodwar-only and force it to be .scx (Player colors do not work in .scm maps).

Yes, I can't tell you how many times people have asked questions regarding their player colors not working on this forum and that's the problem.

When I have a trigger open and it's window selected hotkeys like 'd' for delete won't act on the action or condition I have selected, but rather whatever I have selected in the trigger listing window (which is usually the trigger I'm editing). As you can imagine, accidentally deleting a whole bunch of your triggers when you meant to kill some conditions can be very dangerous.
Also, I need to reiterate how crucial bookmarks in the triggers are.
This is actually more troublesome than you might think. I always download the latest version and use it until something makes it inconvenient for me- right now I'm using the old version because of this.

Hey, I thought about something:
Would it be possible to have "Place doodads" option and we'd only have to select the terrain layer we want the console to automatically create doodads in?
That's an other option for the lazy boys :D

Do you mean randomly place random doodads? It would be neat I guess. Perhaps have a select number of doodads that you want to place?

Sep 20 2009, 1:55 am The Starport Post #148

Yeah that would be neat. Also an option to auto-cast them into terrain tiles so as not to use up the doodad limit would be nice, too. Or an option to store them in their own scmdraft 2-specific doodad meta-data layer to allow editing them as doodads without using up Starcraft's doodad limit, even.

Maybe adding different "styles" too:
- Disparate/Light
- Concentrate/Intensive (like WoodenFire)
- Normal

I see you !

Lets not overdo things.
As for doodad limit, the only limit is the number of sprites, and turning doodads into sprites will not reduce that limit.

The String editor doesn't register an edited string as edited until you select a different string. So if I open it up, edit a specific string and close the window to save, it won't have the changes unless I selected a different one before closing the window.

The sword and the faith

Would it be possible to add a search function in the string editor? IE Ctrl+F, brings up a search box, type in Marine, and per click be brought to each instance of the word Marine being used. A lot of my maps are using a lot of strings and when I need to go edit a specific one in the string editor to double check my colors, it's rather hard to find the one I want.

My current project is comepletely recoding the string editor, including a filter window. IE you type part of a string and it hides every string not using that.

Sounds great. No more looking through a thousand strings for one unit name or text display.

Fix 'Set Next Scenario' so I don't have to open stuff in StarEdit to make a damned trigger.

It really freakin sucks when your trying to keep your trigs organized between players and you go to copy a trig for a different player and it ends up some random spot in the middle of that players list instead of at the bottom. Please make new triggers for ANY player ALWAYS go to the bottom of the list first.

Uhm no? Copied triggers need to go right under the trigger copied from, otherwise you have to spend time moving each one up, and that would take a millenium for my maps. If anything at all, allow to move a trigger to the top or bottom of the trigger list instantly with a button or keypress.

Sep 26 2009, 4:54 pm Falkoner Post #160

The answer to this problem is to allow multiselection of triggers and have a copy/cut/paste in Trigedit for triggers.
