Okay, looking some stuff, I think there are some clues to point that Vrael may be mafia. Most of these assumptions are connected to his avatar though.
JaFF, the leader of the community, knows their importance - those are the principles that help people live through the harshest of times and maintain the warmth of their hearts over many years of routine life. Sitting in his comfortable chair with a glass of excellent whiskey, he must be enjoying himself, but he is not – he knows that a new time is coming, a time of animalistic violence and despair.
I think the use of animalistic is a bit different but fitting because Moose, member of the mafia is an animal and Vrael is also an animal (a dead one, but still an animal.), meaning he may also be part of the mafia. They also both share the same trait of being the same animal too, the ferocious Moose.
After I win, a museum will be built to glorify my triumph over the old order and its ineffective ideas. You can become either the manager of this museum or its exhibit. Remember how your daughters got scared of the dinosaur skeleton when they first saw it? You’ll be a similar skeleton for everyone to see. Your ideas are already dead, why do you still hold on to them?
This is the line that tells me Vrael may be connected to the mafia though. Why would a museum be built to glorify his victory? A statue or a monument would be more fitting to say the very least. When you think of glorifying oneself in history, you think of a statue or doing something memorable that everyone will remember you by, not building a museum. Only reason you use museum is to house exhibits of something, maybe a skeleton moose exhibit? The fact that he goes on to mention skeletons only reassures my beliefs that he is secretly referring to Vrael. He also then says that his ideas are "dead" but that could just be a coincidence.
The men point guns at JaFF and shoot him. Then, like vultures, they surround the crippled body of Mini Moose 2707. The dying man then says his last words: “Each one o-of you is… just waiting for a r-reason to do it… you’re all so empty, so… so hollow, so b-blank. Do it… Do it.” One of the men aims for Mini Moose 2707’s head and shoots him. He then says, “Fuck… We still have work to do tonight. Let’s get the fuck out of here.”, and so they leave.
Moose's dying words, he calls his henchmen "empty, hollow, blank" just like Vrael's avatar. I can't believe Vrael would kill one of his own though.
“Why are you doing this”. The man replied, not without humor “I like it. You don’t? Ohh, what a fucking shame.”. Dapperdan did not appreciate his joke, but nor was the man looking for his victim’s approval.
As someone mentioned earlier, this sounds very similar to how a mod would respond to some idiot doing something stupid or obscure. Who is a mod around here? hmm...
