Stupid question on my part but what does STF stand for lol?

None.

starcraft team fortress.

Thigh high affectionado

Another idea. Make the F Keys able to be configured to store a unit.

For example. F1 has a Ghost, F2 a rine, F3 Upper level door Left, F4 a zealot (Common Zombie map units :P), instead of searching time and time again on the unit tree

Why not use unit brushes with single units?

Make the textbox for unit names allow more characters.

A: which one?
B: Use the string editor
C: I;ll see. ;)

Can we get any sort of update on what you have done/are planning to do?

A: which one?
B: Use the string editor
C: I;ll see. ;)
A: Uhm how many places are there to edit unit names? Did I miss something? I mean in the unit properties tab where you can also set damage, hp, etc.

B: Yes, I'm using this workaround. It's only a mild annoyance but I figured it'd just involve changing a number in a char array or something that minor.

C: Good. ;)

eternal lurker

I'm not sure whether this has been mentioned yet...but if I remember correctly, SCMDraft doesn't let us place Extended Units? It should be fairly easy to have a field in the Unit Properties dialog box to edit UnitID.

EDIT: There seems to be a bug occasionally, that when you double-click a location, SCMDraft freezes up and becomes nonresponsive. It seems to happen randomly, too.

Everytime someone has reported that bug he never replied to PMs about using a special version of scmdraft to find the cause of that. If that happens to you and you dont disappear, I can send you a new version which logs all location related actions and it can be eliminated...

For unit names, I thought maybe the unit name thing in classic trigedit was meant.

I havn't gone through the entire list yet to decide actually, I have been doing the bugfixes first like STF crashing. This weekend was basicly the first one for 4 weeks where I was not traveling, so until now I havn't had alot of time. However first changes are being made.

Sometimes when I make a player an extended color, it changes in the editor but not in maps. Bug?

None.

Apr 4 2009, 11:06 pm Suicidal Insanity Post #133

I see you !

If the player color setting stays at an extended color, then its not a bug in the editor ;)

Ah yes, I forgot that one. Even though it happened to quite a lot of people actually. We have like 5 topics about that bug.
From what I heard it only happens on maps that had been .scm originally but are .scx now. The current workaround is to load them in another editor and save it there, then reopen in ScmD.

Does someone have such a bugged map handy? I'm sure SI needs it for bugfixing.
If not, I might be able to reproduce that bug with a map with which it had happened before (but not saved).

If the player color setting stays at an extended color, then its not a bug in the editor ;)
What he means is ScmDraft shows the custom color settings but when you play the map the colors are reset to standard.

A map would be handy, and I'll take a look at that code to check if I can spot something.

Extended colors almost never show up on the editor as they do in the game; think you could fix that? PColor makes it look easy enough.

None.

SCMD2 crashes at attempt to open this map.

Some.

136 is showing up as yellow, not black.

We live in a society.

If you save your map then quickly position your cursor over the minimap, the cursor will be stuck as the hourglass (or whatever loading cursor you may have) indefinitely until you move it off the minimap.

YEAH. HOW'S THAT FOR A BUG?
