An artist's depiction of an Extended Unit Death
|
Switching between the text trigger editor and the classic one has two annoyances. First, the text trigger editor doesn't carry some information regarding "Create Unit With Properties" (example: Can't copy/paste invincible hallucination actions). Second, any EUD unit value is read as "Invalid Unit" in the text editor, and is automatically set to UnitID:228 after saving.
Another one for EUDs: In Classic Trigedit, the number of deaths have a limit of 9 digits, but a lot of values I use go up to 10 digits. Removing the limit for entering digits/characters in this (as well as the previously mentioned unit naming in Unit and Hero Settings) would be great. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Learn how to make EUDs: [EUD] A Mapmaker's Guide for Creating EPDs

Thats a joke, right? Thats another idea that the half done implementation was never finished due to compatibility problems with other editors. Your current version isn't even fully compatible due to string recycling, so there isn't much lost. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I attempted to use the embedded MPQ in STFs newest EXE by adding it to a new profiles data mpqs, but it crashes once I've selected the profile and hit Ok to load the map editor. I get "Something Bad Has Happened" with TrigEdit and it saves TrigEdit.dmp (see dl below). I took TrigEdit out of the plugins folder and tried again and got the same error except its an error for "SCMDraft 2 beta 0.7.5" (even though I have SCMDraft 2.0 beta 0.8.0.0), and saves a dmp (see dl). I then copied all the files i thought necessary for making the map editor into a new MPQ (only dat files, iscript file, and grp's. no firegraft stuff, smk's, wav's or menu pcx's), but still get the same as my last try.
Here are all the dmp's, the SCMDraft dmp with (2) is obviously my second attempt with the new mpq. Here is also the minimal MPQ i used when i got the (2) dmp. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We mod Starcraft. I'll check the trigger resizing and STF bugs, one of the reasons for the profiles was so that herc could use the editor so if it stopped working thats not good. Perhaps some of the fancier hacks he has in the MPQ?...
You could try wine + scmdraft, I have no idea if it works. I dont have a mac nor do I know how to code on a mac so I cannot write a mac port. While you cant change clutter, atm you can use the subtile brush to update the terrain to a specific subtile. I probably will spend some time soon to determine the exact clutter algorithm staredit uses and then it could be implemented via sliders, I am fairly sure its not a linearly random function, but a multipolynomial fit should figure it out =) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Whenever I open this map is scmd is says, "Would you like to save a diagnostic file," and then crashes. It is just the one map since I can open other maps. Another note, it uses EUD conditions and actions(atleast I think). I can also open it in starforge without problems.

And STF now works, whoever came up with the idea of null strings as unit names needs to be found This post was edited 1 time, last edit by Suicidal Insanity: Mar 27 2009, 7:22 pm. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
