Well, It works for every player except computer players. But in this map, only for player 2 and player 5.

Because only player 2 and 5 are on the range of the Unit ID, but 1,3,4,6 is on the limit of the Unit ID.

Does not matter what player # I use when I change unit id into something (4136 for this example) and start map, there is nothing there. The unit is just removed as if it were not placed at all in map editor.

Yea. Some Unit IDs have no appearance.
Of course some are dying when game start, but many things show that it's own ability on the map.

Yeah i see not why these are that much interesting. Most are just rock or crash. They dont do anything that fancy.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

As Heinermann already said, this has been experimented with before a long time ago, but since it changes every patch no one cared enough to keep checking it. There are thousands of possibilities and you aren't even guaranteed that a certain type of effect will persist though patches at all.

2866 crashes if selected so I'm not too sure what building it is, if I had to guess I would say supply depot.

@Esponeo, I never said I was doing something not done before but I figured why not see what I can maybe find for this patch.

If it is > 227 it is not going to be any unit, that is why it crashes.

Very nice. I was 100% sure I would just crash, but alas I did not. Giving any order what so ever obviously = crash

I do not really want to re go over all those units again and select them in a group to see if anything new happens. Do you think it would be worth my time to do that or are you confident I will find nothing?

Edit: I have found some still crash even when selecting in a group.

You probably won't find anything too interesting.

The reason for crashes when selecting in a group: The extended unit in some cases can be considered the "most powerful unit". The "most powerful unit" in the selection group gets its portrait ID displayed in the HUD. That is what is causing the crash. The invalid portrait ID. So you might be able to avoid the crash if you select it with Zeratul, Kerrigan, Hyperion, or some other powerful hero units.

That's for future reference in case you want to do some more testing.
