I'm gonna have to say, even though I haven't had as much fun in gaming as Left 4 Dead in a few minutes, that's as far as the game goes. I mean the level might change, but it's basically the same zombies, then you've got some hero zombies and some weapons. It doesn't have the replay value that I look for in the market today.
So it's a fresh idea. However, the game is linear, the zombies make up braindead AI in numbers.
When I first played L4D I thought this was just another boring zombie game. But not only were the zombies fast, but they were in huge numbers. When combined, it's a shocking experience.
But once you overcome that, the depth is minimal.

Ahem, online play & expert campaign...

Co-op on Advanced or Expert or versus mode is what Left 4 Dead is about. It's not just 'another' same zombie game, Valve introduced the AI Director and the special infected to force players to cooperate. The point of Left 4 Dead is to replay the game over and over again because the AI Director will make the game easier, harder and keeping the pace differently every time.
Also, the fast zombies and special infected is a huge difference and a lot more funner than the boring, slow zombies.

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/459-Left-4-DeadBWAHAHAHAHA! That got to be the best one from Yahtzee so far! I just couldn't stop laughing.

I cannot believe I bought Mirror's Edge for 60USD. It is a great game, but it is not that great to be worth that much of my money and patience speed running through all the levels for cheap achievement points.

RIVE, you should add the gamertags and steam accounts in the first post.

Are you guys still playing Left 4 Dead? I might buy it. Or COD:World at war.

Would probably be 360.
Don't. Get it on PC and play with me and Yoshi. Even though Yoshi is more into Team Fortress 2.
And yes we are still playing Left 4 Dead.

If anyone still cares to update the first page's list, I'm on Steam, too. DevlinD is my ID.

I don't like fps on the computer too much anymore. I dunno, I used to hate it on the consoles. Maybe if my computer was more l33t.
And I did get it today: iso1atedpurity is my gt

Depends if the game has too many controls to be practical. I personally find those games easier on a console, supposing that they don't bind controls such as RightTrigger+A+B to do something like turn on your flashlight.

The intro movie was very sweet.
Possible spoiler, because well, you should watch it yourself.
