Well I was told that dreams are 50% physical and 50% mental, and that people can die in their sleep. I would think it makes sense because if you were having a realistic dream and something happens your heart beats so fast and you die in your dream, you might not make it back out. If you haven't noticed every time in a nightmare if something bad happens to the very end you wake up before you die, I put this up because I've been having nightmares my whole life I hardly ever get a good dream =/ maybe I'm just that stressful. They also say that if you laugh too much before you go to sleep you get a nightmare.
None.

Arbitrary numbers, and meaningless without defining what "physical" means.

Death
during a dream would, theoretically, be possible by such mechanics, but it would have little to do with what is occuring within the mind, beyond that something stressful/exciting would help a lot.
They also say that if you laugh too much before you go to sleep you get a nightmare.
Who are "they", and why does this sound so much like some kinda old wive's tale?
None.
oh noes its has been moved "they" as in people just random people from anywhere and physical meaning what happens to you out here, i had a dream one time i was getting attacked by someone and i was trying to defend myself with my right arm and it felt like it really hurt a lot in the dream, as i woke up my right arm was solid cold, no joke.
None.

You were sleeping in such a way that you cut off circulation to your arm, which is why it felt weird in the dream and cold when you woke up.

It's also probably why you dreamed that about your arm. I find that my dreams try to explain what happens physically outside my dream.
Like the other night when my alarm went off, in my dream it was my phone going off. Of course, when I answered the phone and started talking to the person, my phone was still ringing. I just figured my phone was messed up.

Something like that happened to me a couple years ago. I was in a normal day of school (though nothing was happening in classes... just sitting around) and then I heard this unrecognizable noise in my head. I seemed to have been the only person that heard it, so I thought I was going crazy. Then I was like "..Oh." and woke up.
Also, I really doubt you can prove "cause of death: bad dream."

Now I'm scared. You "were told" by "them" that dying in dreams results in actual death. If "they" are the same "they" that kills Kenny in South Park, then I won't be resting easy for a very long time.
None.
This doesn't really relate, but I have a theory that if you would die in your sleep, the people around you would observe your dying and go to the funeral and stuff, but you would not realize that you died and you would simply "imagine" wake up and lead the rest of your life "imagining" as if you were still alive. 'Course you can't imagine very well if you are dead, but maybe your "spirit" imagines? So with this theory you have nothing to worry about.
Does that make sense?
None.
When you die, it's just a big nothing, whether you die asleep or awake. I can't fathom not existing. You're not even aware of your lack of awareness.
Well... I don't know that for certain, obviously. But being promised that you'll see grandma again seems pretty childish if you really think about it. Plus, all of the ritual, clinical cleanliness of the funeral process is another attempt to make death seem as picturesque and non-threatening as possible (as in making the corpse look like the person is "just sleeping", but every few hours the cotton that's stuffed up the body's ass needs to be replaced to keep the leaking fluid from noticeably stinking.). You're all going to die, and rot, it's gonna be gross, and you'll eventually be forgotten forever. That sounds depressing if you're just starting to think about such things, but knowing that you've only got this little parenthesis of existence within infinity is actually an excellent motivator for getting the most you can out of life.
None.
Heh, not depressing at all. I just try to remember that the average person has about 28,000 days to live.
None.
A normal person would wake up before they 'die' in a dream. But, thats were sleeps aids, and other sleep issues can go bad... People have been reported of dieing in dreams and not ever waking up again, whether it be a coma or just dieing. People occasionally hurt themselves in real life, as if what happened in the dream.
I have had a few dreams where I am on the brink of death, but wake up o.O

Have you thought of what will happen AFTER they live out their natural life in imagination?
None.

If the person sleeping failed to wake up ever again how did anyone validate they died in their dreams in any sense beyond the literal?
I agree with Doodan's post.
None.
