Parts of math I hate are the ones they teach you but,you only have a 5% chance or less using it in life :l.

You guys WILL be using math like algebra and such, alot in the future, especially if its something in the science/engineering/math/accounting fields. Algebra and geometry will be used MORE than you guys think they would be. Infact, Algebra Geometry and basic Trig aren't even considered math; they're too simple and kiddie to earn the name "math." Eventually, it becomes like a part of you and you probably wont even be realizing that you are using algebra because you will use it so much. Wait till you get into Upper Level Calculus (and by this, I mean College Calculus which you would take like in your second or third year of college, not the Highschool Calculus AB/BC shit). That's where you learn the true definition of "math" or for many people, "hell."

/me agrees with millenniumarmy. I likes his statement.

I hate everything you can't solve with a basic calculator! Luckily it seems like I'm done with math forever!
Angles is not even needed for everyday life and I dont see the benefit of knowing algebra.
Don't ever say that if you want to prove that your above 10 years of age. You use math for futher education. In my opinion anyone that says they will never use math in real life is at most in the fifth grade.
Anyway, Math is pretty cool if you're good at it, the thing I hate most is definetly matrices/matrix. They take so much time to do and they're just confusing for me.

I HATE GRAPHING THINGS OVER AND OVER
I must agree, graphing isn't fun at all.
What the hell? Quadratics isn't that difficult.
Having to show 30 steps when I could much more easily just write down the answer.

Well, not much of this anymore in High School, but this is why I didn't get straight 99's in math in middle school.

Just here for the activity... well not really

Seriously, Its hard to "Explain" mental math

Seriously wtf is up with the teachers?

The one thing I absolutely hate is being forced to show my work.

Yay, I'm a trend-setter. But I have to agree with what Centreri said, not wanting to show my work brought/brings all my marks way down
It is so they can grade the thing. They know what you did wrong, and you do too. As I move up in the mathematical echelon I don't have to show as much work

Showing work. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it.
I'm in Trig right now, but my whole class and the teacher think I should be in Calc. I'm one of those guys that immediately understands new concepts, never takes notes, incredibly smart, can do a lot of mental math, but overlooks very fundamental things ruining me from getting A+'s on all my tests.
Yes i'm one of the naturally mathimatically smart people. I'm also one of the naturally language-arts stupid people. English = Stupid.

Yes, you will be determining X at the dollar store.
I have 8 dollars. I spend 3 on stuff. 8-3=X.
Angles are essential to physics and architecture.
This.
Algebra is by far the most useful subject in school, Jordan.
And to the rest of you, just show you work. I know, I know, you can do it in your head. So can I, the place to show that of is when you haven't done you homework and the teacher calls on you to balance a chemical equation. (Yes, I've done this.)

But Syphon, it's sooooooo boring =(
Why should I have to show:
3x-4=4x-3
-4x+3x-4+4=4x-4x-3+4 (this is the step I hate the most in basic algebra, it makes the equation more confusing)
-x=1
x=-1
When I could just write down x=-1?
And it's even worse when it comes to linear equations. He forces us to make multiple tables, draw a graph, and THEN find the equation. I always make the graph by finding the answer, plotting it, plotting b and drawing a line between the two
