It's not like you have to actually write out the work you were supposed to do, if you just write down some random work that takes up space (seeing as how he doesn't check it) that'll do. At the most they'll look it over briefly to make sure it isn't total bs and gave grades between check minus, check, check plus. Are you in eighth grade or a freshman?

I think math should only be graded by test, there should be no credit for homework. You should however be able to retake any test once, for any reason.

I loved how MY math teacher used to be like. He just gave us work to do, did nothing painstaking as to take notes, keep track of worksheets, and a weekly "pop quiz". I have no problems with math. It's fun, and entertaining, time consuming. Although, I don't really like proofs, making us prove some equations.
Math solving speeds only depend on how much practice and experience you had on a particular math subject. So when you can solve 100 problems in 1 hour, another person might do it within 30 minutes.

To reduce the chances of you making careless mistakes. Sure you would get the point conceptually, but to prevent yourself from unconsciously making a careless mistake when actually doing the problems like on a test or something, doing scores of problems seriously helps reduces the risks. It's kind of like practicing shooting basketballs into the basket. If you make 10 shots, you can't just say "Ok i'm ready for this! I will not miss anymore shots now!" You have to keep practicing.

I disagree, repetition is a horrible way to learn things that have an underlying principle, repetition is good for learning factiods, not so much for math. The best way to learn math is constant building, There were things about algebra I forgot until i took calculus, now I doubt I will ever forget them.
