Let me show you how to hump without making love.
Alright. First off, My BIOS never wants to boot the RAM that the computer came with. For this, I just ask, what the fuck? I am always finding myself checking the RAM, making sure its nice and snug, along with a repetitive amount of restarting my lappy until it registers the RAM and starts up.
Second off, it overheats. A lot. I use my laptop for gaming purposes, although I never run high-end games, just semi-new and classics, along with music, P2P programs, etc... But yeah, it shouldnt overheat as much as it does. I mostly resides on my lap, with one of my legs straight out and the other bent back. I do this so I my clothes don't reside below the HD, processor or fan and generate any unwanted heat.
So... Again... The fuck? Help me out here.
None.
If it's been overheating, that can possibly cause damage to the motherboard, which could possibly result in the computer not recognizing the RAM.
This is sorta what happened to mine. >.> Eventually my CPU got fried.

ALL PRAISE YOUR SUPREME LORD CORBO
Is it new?
If it isn't new or even if it's new take off the parts where the air's supposed to go inside, that is on most laps on the back axis where it rotates to open and two more below and clean them up, if you fear too much opening your lap then don't you're probably gonna end up screwing it if you don't want to do it. Anyway yeah, clean them so air comes in and if you don't open it just uh.. blow it like old school nintendo cartridges and make sure it's off when you blow it.
If that doesn't do anything then try and take it to one of those sites where they can see the problem computer store or something or check up if it still has warranty and claim it because if it overheats it will eventually fry the MB like farty and moose said.
It's okay to use it like you do, on your legs as long as you aren't blocking the air entrances.
fuck you all

Yeah, I currently have the entire backing removed and only the rim, where I usually hold and rest the laptop, still have any backing and take a Cold-Air can to it every other day.
I will eventually take it up to Best Buy, where it was purchased, and take advantage of the free one-year warranty.
None.

There really isn't any source. Took it up to best buy and had to wait for half an hour so they could tell me that, just as I thought, that they don't know shit about computers and don't know what's wrong.
I sent it to the manufacturer and thanks to warranty, it's gonna get fixed.
None.
Well that's one way to solve a problem I suppose...
None.
