We live in a society.

I have coded enough of the Tutorials DB to open it. (No, it isn't a rickroll this time. :P) There's still a lot of work to be done on it, but for now we can start piling in the informations. Feel free to submit content as you please.

For now, there's a few things I want to work on in there. But, eventually, there will be a rating system of some sort to sort out the crap. Here's my current plan:
-New tutorials start at 50.
-Each user can rate a tutorial "up" by 3 or down by 2. They may rate each tutorial once and may change the rating at any time.
-Tutorials that end up with a rating under 20 get moved to a "crap" section. The purpose of the "crap" section is to keep tutorials viewable so that people can rewrite them in a better way to save them or get rid of them completely.
-Tutorials that fall under 0 will be deleted regularly via a script.

I don't know why you guys come to these forums expecting people to listen to you promote ML or bash SEN, but it's not necessary, and I'm tired of seeing it (not specifically the two of you, but a group of people in general). Please stop.

Kow, it's kinda the truth, but it's not Moose's fault, it's just that IP hasn't really been around, I'm sure SeN will improve as soon as he gets back more often..

Oh, and nice job Moose, but one problem, I tried submitting something and it said that it has a query error..

Here's the exact message, when I tried the second time:

A Staredit Network error has occured:
Query failed
Please contact administration with all the details.

I really don't care; it's unnecessary.

Okay, Moose, I submitted another one that was pure text and it worked, but when I tried to submit this one:

I got the error.

Something about that tutorial must be breaking the SQL. I'll work on that section of code and let you know when to try again. Or, actually if you can
Code
Make a codebox, since [B][/B]Codes aren't processed there.

That would be great.

Thanks Moose. You're doing awesome for someone thrown into as bad of a situation as you were. Kekeke, hope my affirmation somehow makes you feel good :P

That's what I've been saying for the last week, thanks :]

Yeah, our form input is that insecure. Go ahead and try. It would be interesting to make sure that part IP has commented as cleaning all the input works. :P

It's a good thing, I didn't consider the possible ramifications of that post until after I hit submit. :P

Moose, would you like me to PM you the tutorial? The only difference between this and the others I've submitted is that it has pictures..

None.

Jan 15 2008, 3:47 am Falkoner Post #19

Okay, Moose, I'm almost certain that it's the Terrain forum, I know you added it in at the end, so maybe you messed something up, because I've submitted two different tutorials to it and neither work, but all my other tutorials do.

None.
