A few months ago I was fiddling around with personality tests as part of my careers stuff, and got thinking about how accurate the Jungian-type personality tests are. I also thought it would be interesting to apply them across SEN as I suspect there will be common ground between a lot of us.

The test is here: http://www.teamtechnology.co.uk/mmdi/questionnaire/

If the questions seem like a load of BS, don't worry about it - just answer them as best as you can. When you're done, there should be a kind of menu on the left side of the page. Click on "Description" and post the four letter code you find there.

I'll make a list in this post of people's results and see if they match up with my predictions.

I reckon most people will be Introverts and have a Thinking preference.

Edit: Descriptions of what the personality types mean are on this site.

Also INTP without taking test. Pretty similar to INTJ though.

Yeah, I'm on the borderline as well. That test is more careers-based than others out there, so you might get different results.

So what am I supposed to be doing, just taking the test? I think I got ISFP, is that what I'm supposed to be posting?

Yeah, I'll just enter it on the list.

ISTJ: 86%
ISFJ: 85%

I have taken this test before, but I can't remember my outcome. All I remember is that I'm the same one as my friend's fiance, one that's supposed to be rare? But I expected something to change. Now I have to find out what my old score was.

edit: Oh, I used to be an INFJ, but I only got a 56% match this time around.

Those are the most prominent
ISTJ 66%
ESTJ 67%
The descriptions fit pretty well but I feel ISTJ matches a little better.

On the kersey site the ESTJ part was very accurate at first, blurring a little as it went in more and more details, but still being fairly well matching. ISTJ also had a lot of good matches but some parts that were a bit off.

Aww Nude we're so similar. :kame:

Some of the info on "Inspector" is correct. I do follow the rules, I am traditional, and it even says I'm likely to get involved with Sunday School when I was a teacher, and I want to get back into it. Oh, and apparently I don't like using what is really just 'big words' which is true. Keep it simple.

Back* from the grave

I'm pretty satisfied with my result. It's pretty damn accurate, as far as me not caring about others, valuing close relationships, and whatnot.

ISFP
If your personality type is ISFP then you have some deeply-held values that, even though your life may be somewhat unstructured, direct the things that you do and say. You probably take a caring and sensitive approach to others, more so than may be apparent to others because you showing your feelings in acts of kindness rather than in direct statements. You probably have a strong sense of the type of lifestyle you enjoy, which you want to maintain.

INFP
If your personality type is INFP then you have some deeply-held values, though there are probably very few people, if any, who know what those values actually are. Privately, you may be a people-person, but others may not recognise it as you show your feelings in indirect, imaginative ways rather than in more conventional expressions of care. You may be looking forward to the realisation of some personal ideals.

The descriptions are pretty spot-on, too, which I like.

INTP
If your personality type is INTP then you have a strong sense of the hidden principles that govern how the world works. You are interested in theoretical models and explanations, and when other people put forward their own theories you put them to the test to find out how true or robust they are. You enjoy solving difficult intellectual problems and seek to understand the real truth behind any situation, even when it involves several complex factors.

INTJ
If your personality type is INTJ then you have a strong, private sense of strategic vision, both for the future and how that future will can be achieved. Your vision, or sense of knowing, may be difficult to articulate, but even if wasn't others might find it difficult to accept (e.g.: as impractical or unrealistic). Pursuing your vision might be a lonely task, therefore, as you develop and pursue plans without anyone else really understanding the nature of what you are trying to achieve.

Reasonably accurate. I have no value in relationships and do nothing besides pursue the evolution of my worlds in writing and modding and have been that way all my life.

Show them your butt, and when you do, slap it so it creates a sound akin to a chorus of screaming spider monkeys flogging a chime with cacti. Only then can you find your destiny at the tip of the shaft.

Dungeon Master

69% for INTJ and INTP, all the others are reasonably close to 50%. Most of the questions I agreed with both statements too much and there was no button right in the middle D:

Just here for the activity

I've taken these tests before, and I got an ENTJ.
Though here, I got an ESTP. It's something to do with the long term vs short term questions.

Interesting results so far. These are all "best-fit" descriptions - obviously personality can't be boiled down into 16 different types.

For the record, before I went to university I always came out as an ISTJ. Now I either get INTP or INTJ. The switch to the "N" is pretty significant and apparently happens frequently if you go to college.

Also, there are four basic categories:
SJ - Traditionalists
SP - Doers
NF - Idealists
NT - Thinkers

Most people in the Western world, statistically, are SJ types.
