Even though Poison's attempt at a LoL Tournament didn't work as fruitfully as we had hoped, we're going to try this again.

Like I posted in the official LoL thread, I'm starting up a tournament for our LoLers here at SEN and abroad. Read on to learn more.

Information:


How will this tournament work? This tournament will be comprised of random teams of a size to be determined after signups are collected. The random teams will face off with others three times, with rotations of teams for each game, all chosen randomly, and all chosen randomly who to fight.

After the initial phase, the player base will be broken down by who wins the most games, and not based off of K/D ratio. Brackets will be used for this phase, with random team choices and matches once more, where a winner will be selected out of the team of players who are randomly chosen.

Please note that this section is subject to change.


Who can play? Everyone and anyone. If you're my friend or related to SEN, then you can bring as many friends as you can and would possibly like to bring to the pool of players. Try to keep it limited to that for our first official tournament however, as when friends of friends become involved, it does become a hassle to track everyone down.


How do you join? Inquire here, and get me added as a friend on LoL. I'll be opening up a Tournament room for players to openly discuss the ideas if anyone is interested. If you know someone who has absoutely zero affiliation with SEN, get them to join my Teamspeak at Lingiesrv.dyndns.org, port 9987. This way, they don't have to signup at SEN if they don't want to, and I know how much some of us want another Temple Siege flamefest to spew out of a friendly competition, with no offence to anyone if they aren't infact prone to this.


When will the tournament be? As soon as we recieve enough signups, we'll begin team creation and match selections. The tournament WILL NOT be bound to a date, but rather each bracket will have a due date as to finish their match. If the teams do not complete their match, it will count as a loss for both in the random phase, and as a forfit in the bracket phase. If you cannot access LoL at least once every three to five days currently, or in the coming two to three weeks, this isn't the one for you; maybe next time.


What kind of prizes will there be? At the current time, there isn't any prizes except for bragging rights, and spotlight here in our LoL community.

Lul jk, I'd get raped.

I may have to back out due to timing issues, but we'll see. Right now I work from 9 AM to about 9 PM (PST) and usually play the moment I get home and on weekends. Sundays (all day) are best for me, but Saturdays can work as well. I have a feeling a lot of people wont want to play that late on weekdays supposing the tournament starts on, say, a Monday and the deadline is a Friday or something. If people were willing to get a game going at like 7 or 8 PST, I may be able to sneak out of work for that.

Also, I'd make sure to cover weekdays and weekends for each match set. I'm positive everyone can make it.

In. Also, I have at least 6 other people that play LoL (for a MUCH longer time and with more skill than me) who might want to join. I'll tell you if any of them wanna join.

Game types are up for debate. Draft mode might be instituted, and/or a rule where you cannot play the same hero twice as well.

Didn't read rules, but I'm in.

Probably going to be at a disadvantage. College started so I won't be on as much.

Since this is being done by wins/losses, how will an automatic forfeit be ranked if a player doesn't show up? I don't really think the teammates should be penalized because their random teammate couldn't make it. Maybe include a "Draw" column that is only for counting forfeits?
