I would be using the Razer Diamondback Magma mouse and it is definitely worth using as I play Team Fortress 2 and StarCraft.

I've just got a wireless logitech mouse. It's alright, I guess.

Those new blue track ones from Microsoft look pretty nice.

EDIT: I just bumped my mouse sensitivity from medium to max. This will take some getting used to.

Is that a mouse or a UFO? :bleh:

Kinda reminds me of an A-Wing.

I use my laptop's touch pad, but I definitely wouldn't say it's my favorite. It sure makes bounds and dodge games a bitch and even normal games a little pain in the ass. So I'm going to have to say just about any mouse is my favorite over this touch pad.

I hate touchpads. My mouse is kinda slow, but I like it cause it's my mouse and I'm used to it. My brother's mouse is way better but it's way faster so I suck with it. If I got used to it, I'd probably like it better.

Microsoft Intellimouse.
The important thing is that its a cable mouse. I always laugh at the guys that start cursing ingame because the need to charge batteries. ^^
Also optical. More reliable.

Hello

I got a blue Razer Diamondback and it is sexy.
EDIT: Yea, cable is important

Relatively ancient and inactive

Yeah, since my last post in this topic I figured out how to properly use my awesome wireless mouse. Sadly, the MX Revolution has only 800 DPI, but I've really had no problems at all. I never have energy problems since I just stick my mouse into a recharger every night. It can actually last like three days. The wireless isn't any impediment at all, and the wide variety of buttons allows me to access a ton of stuff from my mouse alone.

The above image looks like an A-Wing, then when given some thought, it looks like a sperm cell that mutated wings.

In other news; I use a small, white, efficient Samsung Optical Wheel mouse.

regular mouses usually have a low dpi and are really hard to be accurate with (like if you're trying to draw something in photoshop or flash)

You've obviously never been to a clusterfuck and seen my paint drawings.

this is why i bought a tablet, unless you have like oddly accurate hand movements drawing with a mouse is a no go, also doesnt help im semi-ambidextrous; semi thanks to crappy teachers, but ya i draw w/ left and use mouse with right hence mouse drawing is a wavefest.... anyways ya generic microsoft optical mouse usually, sometimes i feel risque and browse with my tablet, ohh im kinky...

I don't really notice differences in mouse types, really... Except for between optical and trackball.

For topic 1337, this sure could be more 1337.
Agreed.

Back* from the grave

I personally use a decent, $20 mouse. It works for me, but then again I make do without a lot of things. Wait until after Calc III and I can show you a picture of my mouse.

That's some pro necroing, I have used a Death Adder for all my competitive career. Still use it today, even though I retired from TF2.

I am trying to convince my friend to upgrade from his shitty 5 dollar mouse. He thinks the gaming mice are all gimmick and don't actually improve ability. Anyone know how I can explain to him otherwise? I know very little about how technical stuff like polling rates, DPI, gold-plated USB, etc. actually improves performance.
