So I took up Skyrim finally. Tried Oblivion, pretty good, but meh. Tried Morrowind, meh. Tried Arena, liked it... back in 1999.
Now Skyrim, Skyrim finally got its shit together. Maybe it's the graphics finally got caught up to the epic scale they keep reaching for, or maybe it's the nordic theme they're rocking. Either way, it feels really nice. Of course, I threw in a few mods after a bit. Immersive weapons, immersive armors, skyrim flora, unofficial patch, skyhair, flan's eyes...
No Dragonborn or Dawnguard (yet). I had to turn the difficulty all the way up to master to feel like it was a challenge, and now the game is far, far better.
My character right now is
Elesis, taken from an MMO. Still working on her appearance, but red eyes/hair + small figure. The same combat theme as she was in the game, which is blademaster. Which means I'm upping one armed/light armor combat stuff like crazy. Also going to pick up enchanting to throw on the flames that she's characteristic for. She's similar to an Ezra Scarlet from the anime Fairy Tail.
Next character I think is probably going to be
Ronan, a sort of mage knight/spell sword. Throw on the heavy armor and magic. There's an optional dragon route to take, which means screw the shield you have a glaive. Fits well with the Skyrim theme going on. But he's not one for for offensive magic too heavily. Mostly defensive with a bit of healing. Few fun routes to take and stay with the theme. Dragons & moar dragons, spellsword, or straight up heavy armor all the way.
To change up the pace there's also
Lass. A rogue like hero with a penchant for speed and making things die, fast. Optional lightning route, but I'd imagine you're going to want stealth and all you can throw into pickpocket/speechcraft and all the fun we're missing from the fighters above.
If you're interested in doing one of these characters. There's Arme, a pure magic/alchemist user; Lire, a ranger character (shoot arrows at all the things!); Jin, a brawling super saiyan; and plenty more.
None.
