What about Mac versions of Microsoft Office? I think there were possibly other years on those.

ᴄʜᴇᴇsᴇ ɪᴛ!

vlc is terribad at everything. It also wasn't able to play this video without stuttering.

you can tell the difference in the softsubs (not anti-aliased at all).

I couldn't even play tori no uta in vlc.

Relatively ancient and inactive

I don't watch Anime, so that's not a problem. Maybe I'll switch to something else when I need subtitles, but I'm not currently interested in films the language of which I don't understand.

VLC fails to display this properly too.
Also, it's ~60 MB lighter, and can play more files than VLC can (you just have to get the codec, which you can't do in VLC).

And besides support for external codecs, Media Player Classic - Home Cinema can already play just about anything you would want to play in it anyway, without extra codecs.

I think I still have it on my old Windows ME computer.

I guess your right rockz... I always figured that stuttering was just something all videos did since I only got it when I advance too far in a movie manually (the only time it ever happens btw). I guess it's time to change my main media player over to MPC.

Wolfenstein 3D was the shit back in the day.
Most people would've assumed it was Return To Castle Wolfenstein and/or that the new one was like its predecessors. It is much much better.

Nobody here must watch many subbed videos, cause all I see is VLC and WMP.
No, I don't use subs. Ever.

Bio do you know how to make it so that messages in Miranda make a sound or pop up or something? It might be because my version isnt the latest but whenever I get a new message it shows a little flashing square in the bottom right which is hardly ever noticeable. I always miss IM's.

My hatred for apple knows no bounds. Thank god the iPod I got 4 years ago has rockbox support.
I can't say I hate winamp much, but foobar, amarok, songbird are all much better, and don't clog your system with apple bloatware.

Hrrm. I'm trying out MPC-HC. I'll play around with its options a little more, but the current issues: It doesn't save fullscreen when I load a new video (well, fixed with a click each time), it starts up a video slower than VLC but seems to continue through smoother. I used to have some delay after resuming after pausing when streaming from my external HD, and I didn't notice that on MPC-HC. I don't like the longer bar on the bottom, though.

As for iTunes, I barely use it but remember it being slow and unresponsive even on my rather good computer. I just tried it again, and it took almost ten seconds to start up (so you can see the screen) and five more until it responded to clicks. Apparently isn't the latest version, but still. Zune started up in maybe three seconds and became responsive in a second or two after that. Songbird was slightly faster than Zune. God, I wish I could use Songbird to sync music. Or Foobar, if I could get languages working properly on it. Anyway, yeah. Apple products for iTunes on me which is a very slow program; Microsoft products can slow me down a bit, but not by much. Yaay Microsoft.

Also, I have a ton of programs on my desky that I'm not using. Filezilla, which I tried once and never opened again... PeerGuardian (which doesn't work on x64 W7). I really need to clean it up.

ᴄʜᴇᴇsᴇ ɪᴛ!

don't forget to change your preferences so that you can jump forward/backward 5 seconds using just the arrow keys. VLC also managed to fail miserably at this.

As for which output to use, I recommend either overlay mixer (not screenshot friendly) or EVR custom > Bicubic 0.6
