How balanced is the spawn upgrading? It seems to me that spawn upgrading does much more, since it allows you to kill while effectively denying the opponent xp. I suppose we will find out.

@Rockz; If you have the wrong heros, it is unbalanced. While that applies to spawn before, the problem is that people didn't like leveling up spawn, and then they just made it the total reversed way of doing the spawn. They should have just taken it out. you should see a replay, even if we did it I doubt it would have helped. We had bad character match ups from going random I think, unless I'm mixing up my matches. but like 7-7 or 8-8 of matches involved spawn upgrading, which is discouraging to me. Anyway, I'll take this to the balancing topic now. Sorry about that 24million.

Added new rule: LM's may not hallucinate other LM's

please save game replays of this clans. I will be unable to make this but I would love to see the replays. btw gj on the compleation of m9.

There should be a recommendation (perhaps not a RULE per say) that everyone record their screens + upload the recordings to youtube. This would make it easier to prove certain people aren't hacking, and give beginners an example of higher level play. Maybe someone could even run a commentary on them? We could make these tournaments fairly big events this way.

I've always wanted youtube and TS to make sweet love together, but my screen capturing always comes out gross. I'm not giving up trying to make it work on my comp, but if someone else could do it, I'd give mucho mucho thanks.

I've tried recording my screen. It lags horribly if I do it with a computer program, so if this happens it'll have to be with a digital video camera.

I just tried it again with CamStudio, and all I accomplished was ruining a game. All black, except some text, :{

Was it windowed mode or fullscreen?

Camstudio records SC without lag for me. Only problem is the trippy colours

I've heard growler guncam might record SC properly.

CAFG and everyone else, try guncam/camstudio, and ONLY RECORD ONCE THE GAME HAS STARTED. As in, when everyone is choosing their heroes.

Say... how about implementing a draft mode/counterpick only?

I tried growler guncam with the DivX thing installed, and it recorded SC perfectly. So if you want people to see your TS skillz during the tournament, or want to commentate on a replay of a match, then get recording, and upload to youtube. Don't forget to add the SEN intro video to the start

Honestly I think it's bad practice to institute soft rules. If you can't trigger it into the map then you shouldn't be requiring it of the players. I know that philosophy isn't held in high regard by the elite of the UMS e-sport community, but it is a valid concept nevertheless.

As an example, if you really want LM to not hallucinate other LM, instead of saying it isn't allowed, you could trigger the removal of LM hallucinations. That way there's no one "cheating" Just saying. This entire discussion of people "cheating" because they didn't follow "teh rulez" is fairly lame in my opinion.

And if my skill level in Temple Siege is going to come into the equation as being directly proportional to the validity of my statement, then I will clarify ahead of time that I am not talented at this map in any way, shape, or form. When a host says "Answer or ban, what is Volt's L4?", I simply leave the game. However, I am expressing an opinion which is not more or less valid depending on my skill level in the game.

As for the above mention of staying on topic, since the topic is the tournament, I hope that discussion of the tournament's rules is therewith allowed. If not, then I apologize, and I do not plan to speak further on the subject.

I got Gun Cam to work. I'm going to use it to record all of my matches.
