I've been trying to think of a way to do a jetpack in my map. The thing is, I don't want to swap the unit for an air unit. The unit is a marine btw. And I don't have any available computers except forextended players. If I use the sprite, it will go through units but not over cliffs, there fore not very jet-packy. Help me SEN! Or at least someone whos genius.

I domt just want them to be able to move in a direction though. I want themto be able to stay in the air and give the illusion of flying.

If you use the sprite it still won't be able to go through units. Other units will be able to go through it, however.
It can't be done to your specifications except through modding, where you can retrofit a wraith with a marine grp with a jetpack on him too.
"Parliamentary inquiry, Mr. Chairman - do we have to call the Gentleman a gentleman if he's not one?"
I order you to forgive yourself!
If you do it right, you can use null to allow the marine to walk on any non-walkable terrain.
Then hide the null with sprites if you want.
I'm pretty sure once you walk on normal terrain, you lose the ability to walk on unpassable terrain.

IIRC you can walk from null to normal terrain, but can't walk from normal to null; however, triggers can move you from normal to null terrain.
Red classic.
"In short, their absurdities are so extreme that it is painful even to quote them."
Only walkable null. Also, you can walk from null to water and back. Youjust cant walk up a cliff, but I think you can walk down one.

Use mobile/location grids to represent your unit as a constant halu/wraith explosion (flame of the jetpack). Giving orders in this state is not easy, though.
