RdeRenato -- I can't imagine how the mod community would exploit (1.16 and SCR) with Valve
[2020-9-12. : 2:22 am]
jjf28 -- also shouldn't underrate having EUD actions in multiplayer... without allowing people like me to take control of your computer with a cleverly built map :P
[2020-9-12. : 2:22 am]
RdeRenato -- FaRTy1billion
FaRTy1billion shouted: ya, they broke way too much for it to just be a skin xd
when Blizz dies Starcraft will be reborn xd

RdeRenato -- sad that BLIZZARD doesn't support the community
[2020-9-12. : 2:08 am]
jjf28 -- like adding and removing no longer works smoothly; friend follow is nice
[2020-9-12. : 2:07 am]
jjf28 -- oh and the in-game friend system is crap
[2020-9-12. : 2:04 am]
jjf28 -- Dem0n
Dem0n shouted: nah SC:R sucks
a lot of the features are really nice (stable graphics with multiple supported modes, SNAP ports, adjustable&dynamic turn rates); though they definitely screwed a number of fundamentals (bulky stats, slower menus, classic graphics are worse than 1.16.1, newer graphics have some distinction problems with things like infested terrans)
[2020-9-12. : 1:57 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- just gotta put the sc:r eud features that were added in to 1.16.1 and then 1.16.1 will be perfect again
[2020-9-12. : 1:54 am]
Dem0n -- literal downgrade lmao
[2020-9-12. : 1:54 am]
Dem0n -- nah SC:R sucks
[2020-9-12. : 1:52 am]
jjf28 -- 1.16.1 is awesome; but so is SC:R and mapping :)
[2020-9-12. : 1:50 am]
Ultraviolet -- more specifically SC Remastered mapping > modding since pr0n will come be all like SC:R sux modding 1.16.1 is awesome blah blah

Ultraviolet -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: RdeRenato That's why mapping is superior to modding. Especially now EUDs are officially supported and there's a ton of tools.
Agree with this

NudeRaider -- RdeRenato
RdeRenato shouted: the starcraft was updated? it won't let me run any mod in remastered

NudeRaider -- Freakling
Freakling shouted: Oh, they are filed under /SHUTTLE, for whatever reason O_o @_@…
Didn't you know that the warp in's are a myth? Protoss buildings are shuttled in.
[2020-9-09. : 3:34 pm]
NudeRaider -- sraw531
sraw531 shouted: NudeRaider assuming such was possible, and didn't get shot down by blizz, how would that work when leaving that particular map?
I don't think either assumptions are too likely. ;) But there's too ways it could work: Permantly, or just as long as the map is loaded.

lil-Inferno -- ya

Freakling -- Oh, they are filed under /SHUTTLE, for whatever reason O_o @_@…
[2020-9-09. : 12:32 pm]
Freakling -- Are the building starting and warp in sounds for Protoss not available through ScmDraft for some reason?
[2020-9-08. : 10:54 pm]
sraw531 -- I would think since your graphics settings persist between games, that unless you manually turn it back off (assuming you could), youd be in HD graphics until your game closed. Blizz would almost certainly shoot that down - otherwise it would become a "play this map first" graphics preloader
[2020-9-08. : 10:51 pm]
sraw531 -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: new map concept: (if you could write to it) A map whose only purpose is to show HD graphics to people who haven't bought remastered.

DarkenedFantasies -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: DarkenedFantasies it doesn't need to be written to. Just have 2 versions of text stacking that run based on what you read. Would be spooky as well if the map would be able to change your graphics. If you want to run a memory scanner safely run it in single player. If you wan to be extra safe block sc in your firewall during scans.
I know, I was just thinking of forcing one gfx mode as an alternative to having two copies of every relevant string. I figured I could block SCR's connections (as well as those from every other app/process related to it) but I'm not particularly interested to try it considering the hassle and potential risk for little to no use/benefit. Yea, I can just click one button to block literally all connections for minimum hassle, but that's still 15 bucks at stake and who the fuck still stacks text presently? Aside from Freakling, presumably.

NudeRaider -- DarkenedFantasies
DarkenedFantasies shouted: I don't know if the memory offset for it has been found, or if it can be written to. I'd try to look for it myself but I don't want to get my scr account banned for having a memory scanner running. :sneaky:

Yikes, you mean SCR is like SC2, Blizzard can arbitrarily take it away from you on a whim because it need internet, and detect all that you do?

NudeRaider -- DarkenedFantasies
DarkenedFantasies shouted: Text stacking still works with an older less commonly used method. The problem is how the fonts have different character sizes between SD and HD, making perfect text stacking possible only for one or the other.
can you detect the graphics mode with EUDs?
[2020-9-07. : 7:38 pm]
Freakling -- :\
[2020-9-07. : 7:38 pm]
Freakling -- I just read that… So I guess I can just scrap the idea and all further considerations associated with it then…
[2020-9-07. : 7:35 pm]
DarkenedFantasies -- Or rather, they can be hosted, but nobody can join them. Has this been reverted?
[2020-9-07. : 7:33 pm]
DarkenedFantasies -- Freakling
Freakling shouted: And how do I actually enter TAB characters into ScmDraft?
You can write <09>, or press CTRL+TAB or CTRL+I. Freakling
Freakling shouted: DarkenedFantasies Can you elaborate on this further? I am working with map names and the expectation of HD remastered.
What exactly do you want me to elaborate on? As far as I know games still cannot be hosted with stacked map names.
[2020-9-07. : 7:31 pm]
Freakling -- Freakling

Roy shouted: If you're asking specifically about stacking text, there's some documentation in the wiki: http://www.staredit.net/wiki/index.php/String#Overlapping_text_in_unit_names
Yeah, that is essentially what I am going to do, thanks.

[2020-9-07. : 4:31 pm]
Dem0n -- doesn't text stacking not even work anymore?
[2020-9-07. : 2:28 pm]
Roy -- The number of tabs required is based on the length of the characters, rather than the number of characters, which is why the wiki uses approximation. Stacking "WWWWWWWW" is going to take fewer tabs than Stacking "iiiiiiii" even though they're both 8 characters, for example.

[2020-9-07. : 2:25 pm]
Roy -- They do as they say: center align makes the text position itself in the center of the text area, and right-align makes it line up with the right side of the text area. Left align is the default alignment.
[2020-9-07. : 12:24 pm]
Freakling -- Hey, is there a guide, or does any one of you know, how exactly the centre/right align tags for strings work?
