[2014-8-09. : 4:18 am] ShadowFlare -- Chromebooks do have some local storage, though I don't know how much, and what you can store is limited to the Chrome apps that have the capability to be used offline. [2014-8-09. : 4:17 am] Fire_Kame -- for someone who knows exactly what they want did you even look for it? [2014-8-09. : 4:17 am] Fire_Kame -- 14" Chromebook: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-14-chromebook-intel-celeron-2gb-memory-16gb-solid-state-drive-snow-white/2978481.p;jsessionid=6E758F02848C32F960A405991E6A7B57.bbolsp-app02-120?id=1219085230408&skuId=2978481&st=categoryid$pcmcat244900050010&cp=1&lp=3 [2014-8-09. : 4:17 am] Fire_Kame -- I'd just hate to be at the mercy of an internet connection to access or save my notes. [2014-8-09. : 4:16 am] Fire_Kame -- Eh if you're alright with that go for it. It'll most likely be the only thing in your price range [2014-8-09. : 4:15 am] Moose -- Who needs storage when there's google drive? Tell google everything you know. Google will remember it for you wholesale. [2014-8-09. : 4:14 am] Moose -- http://deals.ebay.com/tech-deals#Laptops-Netbooks You could scrape the bottom end of this, too. Maybe you'll find something. [2014-8-09. : 4:14 am] Fire_Kame -- You also have to think about how you take notes - I liked using one note because tabbing was fluid for outlines - if you're going to use word and are used to using tabbing for paragraphs I think that's still an issue with google docs where it'll take you out of the document. [2014-8-09. : 4:14 am] Fire_Kame -- you also need a stable internet connection for that...every campus I had had random downtime. [2014-8-09. : 4:13 am] Dem0n -- Chromebooks seem pretty weird, and they're all like 11", whereas I'd want something around 14" [2014-8-09. : 4:12 am] Moose -- Craigslist an el cheapo craptop, you can do glorified word processing for less! [2014-8-09. : 4:11 am] Fire_Kame -- if all you need is a glorified word processor for class there's really no reason to spend more than $300. [2014-8-09. : 4:11 am] Moose -- Amusing, even they're like eh, Linux is fast, yeah okay I know we made android, whatever, fuck it, put Linux on it [2014-8-09. : 4:02 am] Dem0n -- I need an el cheapo craptop to take to class and shit if I end up buying a desktop [2014-8-09. : 3:53 am] Dem0n -- That computer is the worst piece of shit I've ever used. I had to deal with it for 6 years until we got a new computer ;_; [2014-8-09. : 3:52 am] Moose -- Pretty much turn off all the pretty looking things, all of the windows services you don't need, go through every startup item, if you want to be intense you can even optimize the BIOS, disable inputs for unused components and such [2014-8-09. : 3:43 am] Dem0n -- Moose, my dad has a shitty Dell from '05 and even if I reformat it turns into a slow piece of fucking shit in like 2 weeks. How do I make it stay not shitty? [2014-8-09. : 3:35 am] ShadowFlare -- My phone is 4.1.2, though it originally came with 2.3.x when it was new. [2014-8-09. : 3:33 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- but I love fixed-width pages designed for a far lower resolution [2014-8-09. : 3:31 am] Moose -- Damn, Carbonite sucks on widescreen. I should make a widescreen version. [2014-8-09. : 12:37 am] LoveLess -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAc4c-0qFXw easily my favorite of all the episodes [2014-8-08. : 11:31 pm] Dem0n -- I highly doubt anyone is using Android 2.2. Hell, I doubt anyone is using anything less than 4.2. [2014-8-08. : 11:11 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- It said to get the latest version, minimum supported version (Recommended 2.2), and some other stuff. ;o I also got everything for the version that my phone is specifically. [2014-8-08. : 11:02 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- wtf. SEN is just constantly taking more and more RAM every second [2014-8-08. : 11:02 pm] lil-Inferno -- Once you have something set up and know how to program, you can easily have an app up on the Google Play store within a few days. [2014-8-08. : 11:00 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Also it says not to move stuff out of the 'adt-bundle-windows-x86_64-20140702' folder, but what if I move it out of there but keep it all together? [2014-8-08. : 10:59 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I just sort of checked a bunch of stuff. Hopefully the correct stuff. [2014-8-08. : 10:58 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- there's like the APIs from every version, samples, system images, and like a bunch of things in 'Extras'. [2014-8-08. : 10:56 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- ya, I got that. And it's like NOW INSTALL SOME PACKAGES! and there's like a million [2014-8-08. : 10:44 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- hey there's like a thousand android SDK packages and version,s which one(s) do I want? [2014-8-08. : 9:29 pm] Generalpie -- The new Marked for Death mode really lets me parkour and shoot people in the face with more of a rush [2014-8-08. : 9:28 pm] Generalpie -- I dunno, I liked parkouring in titanfall. Regular updates to both free users and season pass holders keeps drawing me back in |
