** ROLES IN PLAY **

TOWNSPERSON - The average, ordinary townsperson. Their limited powers include the power of persuasion, power of intellect (clue interpretation), and power of the vote.

MAFIA - They've invaded the town, and they each kill someone every night. They may or may not know the identity of other mafia, thus they may not all be on the same side.
The mafia's killing power is calculated by (X+1), where X is the number of mafia currently alive.

DETECTIVE - Each and every night, the Detective makes an "investigation" of some sort. He may choose either of the following:
1. Learn one person's alignment and role. The difficulty lies in persuading others to vote the way they should.
2. Ask me how many mafia voted for X on any given day. This power may not be used on a mayoral election.

PSYCHO - If the Psycho is lynched by the town, he gets to take a player of his choice with him to the grave. If the Psycho is attacked by the mafia, the Psycho dies but also "injures" his killer, who will be unable to attack the next night.

HACKER - The hacker may, once per night, may hack data and change up the given clues per night so that at least one of them is pointing to a specified target of his choice.

I might join up, but it could be a headache keeping up with two different Mafia games if too many join this one. Also, how fast would "Speed Mafia" days be? A day? 12 hours?

I'm thinking anywhere between 1 day (maybe 15-30 minutes per day/night) and 1 week (1 real day per day/night).

My idea is that our Speed mafia should be over in a few days, and you MUST be active during the session.

Well, I'd like in! However, I might not be able to post on thursdays and sundays. Hope that's not a problem.

Only if I get to be Rickrole. Also on the condition that no one takes this seriously.

The real question is, can you and/or Greo pump out balanced clues fast enough to keep pace with the game? Delays due to clues not coming in fast enough/IRL situations could really kill the mood of the game.

Yeah, this wouldn't be serious unless we decided to offer prizes.

It's a placeholder. I'm not telling what role I will replace it with until the start of the game. I've got -321 minerals, so I can't exactly give a prize, unless anyone here wants to.

I'm with Dapperdan, it also has to be well maintained, so only do it if you really plan on doing it. It could be fun, I suppose, but it would obviously have to take a backseat to the other, full, mafia game. Sign me up anyway.

So....I'm guessing that the Rick Role knows the roles of every player in the game?

Nerdy, right now I'm home all day until college, so I'll be probably on 24/7 to keep up with it.

The Prize of the game is satisfaction that you just participated in a "LULZ" game.

Also, clue writing shouldn't be too hard. We'll have two active minds to take care of it.

Now, we're just waiting on signups. Me and Greo are discussing ideas, and when the final decisions are made, I'll be making a new post with all the goods. You'll be PMed roles, traditionally, unless a certian Moose decides to intervene.
