I agree with HailFire
It's a very cool looking ship for a small fighter.
The Kaloth Rocket Fighter is rather plain looking. Not sure if that was intentional or not.

The Rocket Fighter is based on the F-35. For a sprite of that size, it looks detailed enough; ideally it'd have an actual skin to use normal mapping to bring out the details (It's a fighter, it's supposed to be smooth and simple) but I don't have that luxury.

Here's a frigate, the War Puppy

Ship Analysis; Kaloth Mining Ship MKII

Length: 10km
Crew: 420

The deep space mining ships are legendary for their instability, colorful crew, slowness, and questionable operation ethics. Commonly surrounded in a thick cloud of narcotic fumes and high-inducing lights, mining ships are enormous, difficult to maneuver ships directly tied to the processing of various materials, including smut, coffee, ore, metal, and paper towels. Their bulky nature gives hue to their incredible difficulty in maneuvering, a process not made any easier by the lowest crew value in the entire fleet. Deep space voyages for months in the Dead Zone and No Man's Pants has turned once faggoty men into horribly twisted fairies of their original forms. Often inspectors find the ships so full of disco lights and boom boxes that they are first dazzled and blinded, soon to be violated by the ship's ass-hungry crew, if the atmosphere consisting of cocaine and smoke fumes doesn't give them an instant hernia instead. Even by Confederate standards the interiors of mining ships are lethal, well-endowed smokers dying within moments of entry. The presence of these fumes makes the already unstable ships even more prone to exploding at random, a problem not assisted when shot at.

The MK II variant of the Mining Ship is Kaloth's next-generation military mining ship with "experienced" crews drafted from existing ships and hurled into work. Equally as unstable and unreliable, arguably the only improvement made to the MK II variant was the addition of two extra shuttle hangars on either side, giving the mining ship, should it have been piloted by crew who had some remote idea of what they were doing, the ability to rapidly process multiple returns at once. Despite their shortcomings, Kaloth Industries relies on these ships to process materials harvested by automated shuttles from cotton fields, coffee factories, and smut production facilities. With narcotics harder and harder to get, the MK II variant also has a degree of armor, which only serves to impede its already atrocious maneuvering capabilities. Some argue that this is because the four secondary engines are often never used, their cores instead subverted into high-inducing strobe lights by the crew.

Kaloth Mining Ships are the only resource return facility you can use until X-R engagement level. They are mobile. However, Mining Ships nor Mining Shuttles cannot construct Kaloth Buildings; you require a third unit for this task. When Mining Ships explode, they explode with such force that nearby ships take massive damage. Mining Ships are constantly surrounded by intense fume clouds which can make it difficult to see enemy ships within.

Wellll it looks like that crash I was talking about is definitely the limit expander, AND it crashes outside of ITAS (in ZONS) AND the old one is crashing, too!? Argh. I really hope DoA can fix it.

I've never played the original ITAS (I know, it's a mortal sin in the world of modding) because an issue i have with unfinished stuff
So, I'm curious. How much does the sprite limit detract from the game play? Is it really that big of a difference?

It's a difference between four ships instantly hitting the weapon limit or four fleets being able to fire freely. Basically without the expander there is no mod.

Also if you have issues with unfinished stuff I'm fairly confident you've never played any mods of any kind, right?

I'd have to agree w/ Mesk here. :P While some mods are considered more completed than others, no mod has ever been "finished".

Check my account for the further installations to this particular game as they are uploaded.

Unless DoA can fix the crash I am not going to be doing any further updates to ITAS. ZONS has now been discontinued due to problems with getting the AI to attack, which ITAS also suffers from, as mentioned in the video.

If ITAS is canceled I will be leaving the community.

That is just dead on amazing.

I could sit there for hours and just watch you play it, let alone play it myself lol.

DoA PLEASE find a way to fix whatever problem is preventing this mod's completion.

This is going to be one of the best 2D games ever made man. The music is greatly suiting. The ships are cool, and the widespread destruction is just amazing. I hope that you do not give up. We really want to see this thing finished. It's just phenomenal.

It's a shame you're limiting your life so short, you would make a GREAT video game designer.
