ALL PRAISE YOUR SUPREME LORD CORBO

Okay, so here's the deal. Sofia came with this supah dupah technology of lightscribe.
I don't know if you've heard of it but if you haven't you MUST GOOGLE IT RIGHT NOW.
Anyway, the thing is that I have only used it on lightscribe CDs. The ones that have all the cover with no "blank" spots
Like this:

The question is: Can you use lightscribe with other CDs? like for example, blank maxell cds or blank imaging cds?
Cause those CDs don't have all the cover with this material and they have what I call "blank" spots in which you can reflect light.
So what I'm afraid is that if using a regular blank CD will mess up Sofia in someway or I can go ahead and use it.

Here's a normal blank CD, as you see the "blank" spot I'm talking about are the... well you get it, everything that it's not yellowish.

I'm just going to randomly assume that the Lightscribe CD has some sort of film coat which gets "burned" off to enscribe the image.

None.

He's right. They've got a special coat that reacts to the laser. It won't work for a regular CD.

So what makes it so special??

The coating is specially designed to react with the laser found in optical drives. Lightscribe CD's also have a special marking that orients the disc so you can burn the image multiple times for a darker image.

Lightscribe discs usually cost more because fewer brands support it. Save the $15 to upgrade to a Lightscribe drive and buy some disc labeling-friendly markers instead.

Indeeed :D
I couldn't agree moar with farty.

Also, now that I'm here I'll use this topic. I have this poster that I made on powerpoint and I need to save it as a jpeg image. Powerpoint comes with a "save as jpeg" option but the quality that outputs is 96DPI. I need it to be at least 400DPI quality. Anyone knows how can I save it as 400DPI?

Try saving it as .png. That'll be higher, but I don't know how much higher.

It doesn't work. I try all the image formats they can be (png, tiff, gif and jpeg) and they all output as 96DPI

Did you set the dpi settings? I forget how, but when you make a new image you can set it ...

It's in creating a new image.

EDIT: Found it. Image->Image Size... In mine it says "Resolution:"

That won't work I guess. I'm trying to save the whole slide as an image not just an image. Hmm I'm trying right now, though.
