Starcraft is almost 10 years old and the fact that we're still finding new things for it is really impressive to me. And even if we only finish a couple maps, so what? We're ENJOYING ourselves, which is the primary reason video GAMES exist.

But if just a casting system makes two maps brothers, Every defense is uncreative dating back to Matrix D, and Every bound is worthless dating back to CheeZes bounds, and every micro map is worthless dating back TMA Wired. Lawl just because a map has something similar you cannot tie it to a map that is 100% unrelevant to the original map you speak of. Nice try.

are unoriginal, same with most of the bounds, and all the micro's are the same (Honestly, there are only so many ways you can use zealots + probes to kill ultralisks ;/)

I reckon the problem definitely is in the StarCraft Community playing over simplified maps repetitively, however, I reckon the Mapping Community comes with a whole load of bs as well. I reckon just stop making maps with so many options they wont understand and make simplified maps that even you can enjoy.

IMO, the B.net community is not ready for deeper maps (as in more strategy/micro/thinking/atmosphere), because it's a big group of 13-year-olds. And I'm afraid we, as mappers, can't do anything - even if you make a decent and fun map, the probability of it being sucessful is very low. And why are we trying anyway? You're talking as if we're servants of B.net kidtards and must grant their every wish. Like a painter or a writer, a mapper must make a map for his personal reasons (ie, the desire to challenge yourself, pleasure of expressing yourself through your map, pleasure of creating something).
